KEEPING IN THE LOOP
christmas tree pickup
FLCA MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
County Waste will pick up Christmas trees on January 7th
and 14th. Please leave your tree next to your toter. If it is
taller than 6’, please cut the tree in half for easier pick-up.
Thanks!
The next regular Board Meeting will be Wednesday,
February 25th, 2015 at 6pm at the North Pavilion.
election volunteers needed
The Association office is seeking one or two volunteers
willing to assist in the election ballot counting at the Annual
Meeting on January 28th. Volunteers will be assigned a
duty which will include counting, recording, or observing.
Please contact the association office at 973-4596 if you are
interested.
forest lakes field reservations
for spring 2015
Field reservations are now being accepted for next soccer/
lacrosse season. Forms can be downloaded from www.
forestlakes. net. They can be delivered to Ali Davison,
our field coordinator, at 3171 Autumn Woods Drive,
Charlottesville, 22911. They can also be emailed to her at
[email protected]. Please be sure to indicate alternate time/
days and to sign the form.
Jack Clark Leaves ARB
Many, many thanks go out to resident Jack Clark who left
the Architectural Review Board Committee after many
years of serving our community. Jack and his wife are relocating to Pennsylvania. We wish them the best and thank
Jack for his time, commitment and volunteerism. It has
been very much appreciated.
Please note that the topics for the meeting can change. The
Agenda for the meeting is available one week prior to the
meeting at the association office and webpage.
TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE
Seem to have extra trash most Tuesday evenings when you
take your toter to the curb? County Waste will be happy to
bring you an extra one if you need one at no extra charge.
Please consider getting another toter if you find that not everything fits into one more often than not. It makes it so
much easier for the trash collectors when everything is in
toters and not on the ground beside it. Call County Waste
at 296-6000 to request an extra toter.

neighborhood watch update
Thank you to those who have volunteered to be neighborhood block captains so far! Minimal work is involved
– and thankfully we live in rather safe neighborhoods!
The main focus for the block captain is to receive emails
and notices about occurrences and alerts from the FLCA
Office. The Block Captain, in turn, disseminates that
information to the residents in their given neighborhood
via email.
The search is still on for captains needed in the following
neighborhoods:
Arbor Lake
Willow Bend
Whispering Woods
Pleasant Ridge
Aspenwood I
Kendalwood
Kernwood
Magnolia Bend
Pepperidge
Please contact Tamera Hammond at the Forest Lakes Office at 973-4596 or [email protected].
Thank you!
