The purpose of this position is to provide daily leadership, development, training and serve as a working leader of 5 or more firefighters on the crew. The selectee will report directly to the Handcrew Foreman/Supervisor. The position is a primary firefighter position, under the provisions of 5 USC 8336(c) 5 USC 8412(d). Wildland fire suppression experience is a requirement of this position.
