The board has been very busy trying to make the club more presentable and more member friendly. There is still much work to do but the following were accomplished. Many people do not see them or notice but there has been a lot of physical work completed including repairs. These are a few of the major items 1). Outside Landscaping. New flowers planted and flower boxes repaired. Donny does a nice job keeping them weeded and looking nice. 2). Outside Pole Lights: Mike Funfar did a great job repairing the outside lights for our members safety. 3).Fresh Paining and Cleaning of Social Quarters: I would like to thank Mike Hoerr, Don Cannon, Kevin Fawcett, Jerry Peterson, Leo Phillips and Matt Hoerr (aka Nate) for helping cleaning and applying fresh paint to the social quarters. It was an all day event. It took over 30 five(5) gallon buckets of hot water and cleaner to wipe the walls and ceiling before painting could begin. Leo must of patched over 100 holes. New lights were installed and two new promotional lighted signs were installed. The new signs were donated by John Streiff and Pittsburgh Trophy Co. 4). Cell Tower Extender: For people who had trouble using their cell phone in the Moose an extender was installed to improve Cell phone signal. This was another item the board felt was needed for safety concerns and a benefit to the members. Thanks to the Legion for the purchase of $150.00 5). Cleaning of the Kitchen: The kitchen was completely cleaned and power washed. The kitchen was reorganized. Old and obsolete items were tossed. Thanks to Linda and Lori for their assistance and the final touches. 6). Point of Sales System: A new P.O.S system was needed to give the club better information of items sold and when. This will help streamline cost and better serve the members. A kitchen printer will soon be added to aid the bartender and our new cook. The board appreciates all the help they get. We will need volunteers to help with our upcoming fundraisers to pay the real estate taxes currently due. Please come join the meetings. Feel free to openly express your ideas or concerns to better the club. Don’t sit in the Social Quarters and complain. You need to let us know your concerns so they can be addressed. Please feel free to email me [email protected] . Remember it is your Moose. Let’s make it grow together. Special Thanks to the Legion Did you ever wonder what is the Moose Legion and what does it do? The Moose Legion is made up of legion members who organize different fundraisers to support the Moose. Our Legion organizes dances and a pig roast to name a few. In the past several months the Legion has raised and donated several thousand dollars to support the Moose. To name just a few of the items that the Legion paid for in the past several months. 1). Point of Sales System; $1500 2). Cleaning of the Kitchen $2000 3). Paint and lights for Social Quarters: $500.00 Please Join and Support the Legion. They work harder than you know 2014 Golf Outing a Success The golf outing was held on September 26th and was a great success.
