fitness and health, movement and relaxation. Our centre combines the best of the Wellness worlds.
Aquacise / Leisure 50 Aquacise - Whatever your age or
ability Aquacise is a fantastic way to get fit. Water acts as a
natural resistance without causing stress to the muscles and
joints. Great for weight loss, tone and increasing your fitness.
Back to Basics - Learn basic core exercises and posture to
help you to get the best from Kinesis.
Kinesis - Kinesis is a whole new way to work out, allowing
the body a free range of movement. Kinesis adapts to the
body rather than the other way around using resistance
modules. Perfect for rehab, de-conditioned users, seniors
and athletes. Kinesis is great for burning calories: Kinesis
recruits more muscle groups than traditional strength training
resulting in 30% more calories burned. Athletes find that
Kinesis programs can be designed to mimic their sport to
help maximise performance.
Kinesis Back Care Six Week Courses - Over the six-week
course you will learn about posture, core stability, functional
movement, stretches, relaxation techniques, pain tolerance
and the benefit of safe, affective exercise. We cannot
promise to cure your back problem but we will provide
you with the knowledge of how to improve and cope with
your condition. Many satisfied customers have successfully
completed the course and gone on to enjoy a new lease of
life.
Kinesis Core – This session is for you if you have a back
problem and have attended back care sessions and
are ready to progress your exercise or if you would like
to improve your core strength, protect your back and
incorporate an all over body workout.
Open Sessions - We recommend that you attend a
minimum of 6 sessions with a Wellness Consultant before
attending the Kinesis Open Sessions. For your benefit we
advise that you continue to attend kinesis sessions to ensure
that you do not de-train.

Pilates - Pilates encourages you to think about how you
perform everyday movements. It heightens your body
awareness and improves posture, core stability, flexibility and
strength ensuring that your body is working at its optimal
level at all times.
Senior Kinesis - These sessions focus on functional
movements that can become difficult as we age. You will be
taught posture and balance techniques to help strengthen
core muscles and to retrain receptors throughout the body
which decrease in function with age but are important to
prevent falls.

Sports Therapy Kinesis - This session is aimed at those
who have sports injuries or are muscular skeletal postoperative.
Stress Management Three Week Course - This course
will explain the difference between stress and anxiety and
the effect it has on the body. You will learn how to channel
negative stress in to positive Basic Cognitive Behaviour
Therapy (CBT), basic tools for progressive relaxation,
Progressive Relaxation Techniques (PRT) and breathing
techniques, stretches and visualisations to use throughout
the day. See reception to put your name on the list (Free to
Wellness Members. £30.00 for Non-Members).
Tai Chi/Chi Kung - This ancient martial art is also known as
Meditation in Motion. Using gentle flowing movements and
breathing techniques every day stress is reduced and health
is improved. Movements are performed in a relaxed state to
allow blood flow to all muscles in the body.
Trigger Point - Learn how to use specialist equipment to
massage your muscles. You’ll be amazed at the improvement
in such a short time!
TRX / Kettle Bells - Combining the best of both sessions
to help you to achieve your goals.
TRX Training - Using gravity and your own body weight
this session will help you to improve your muscle strength
and tone, balance, coordination, flexibility core and joint
stability – you will defiantly work your whole body!
Yoga - Practising the postures, breathing exercises and
meditation makes you healthier in Body Mind and Spirit.
Yoga helps you to relax and shape up, improves
flexibility and strength whilst reducing stress and
tension creating a sense of wellbeing and calm.
