The Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India, Kolkata circle, Kolkata, on behalf of the
President of India, Invites item rate tender in sealed cover from the approved contractors who have past
experience of successfully completing similar work in Heritage Building, for execution of work under SR(P) to
dwarf wall and grill fencing around Radha Gobinda temple, Bishnupur, Bankura” as per detailed below upto 14.00
hours of 07.01.2015 which will be opened on the same day at 14.30 hours in the Office of the Superintending
Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India, Kolkata circle, C.G.O. complex (4th floor), Block-DF, Sector-I,
Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700 064.

Labour charges for removing of existing barbed wire fencing from site &
transporting all angles & barbed wire upto store appx. 1 km dist
Earthwork in excavation of foundation trenches within a lead of 75 mt as
directed.
Single brick flat soling of picked jhama bricks including ramming and
dressing bed to proper level and filling joints with local sand.
Ordinary cement concrete M15 (4:2:1) with graded stone chips (20 mm
down Pakur Varity) excluding shuttering and reinforcement in foundation
complete.

Cement : 4 sand according to drawings in foundation and plinth curing

30mm thick shuttering with centering with local hardwoods including
fitting fixing complete.
Supplying of MS ornamental grill as per approved drawing and
design weighing 31.25 kg / sqm complete.
Fitting fixing the MS grill in position including necessary welding at site
complete
Priming one coat on metal surface with approved quality primer including
smoothening surfaces complete.
Painting two coats with best quality synthetic hi-gloss enamel paint of
approved paint in shade other than white complete.
Supplying of MS gate with 37.5 mm dia MS pipe fixed with 150 mm dia 3 mt
length two nos posts with hinges including fixing in proper alignment with
1:2:4 cement concrete base and two coats painting complete.
Supplying of MS round gate with (50x50x6)mm angle frame,(25x5)mm flat&
50mm dia hollow MS two nos posts with hinges including fixing in proper
alignment with 1:2:4 cement concrete base two coats painting complete.
Supplying of big MS cattle trap with 37.5 mm dia GI pipe fixed with (50x50x6)
mm angle frame including fixing over 250 mm width x 225 mm height(1:4)
brick work and 25 mm thick (1:6) plaster with neat cement finish complete.

Supplying of small MS cattle trap with 37.5 mm dia GI pipe fixed
with(50x50x6) mm angle frame including fixing over 250 mm width x 225 mm
height (1:4) brick work and 25 mm thick (1:6) plaster with neat cement finish

* Prior two years experience of executing similar work for Heritage Building. Status and
specific to the items entered above, is a pre-requisite of the applicant/ tender, without
which the tender papers will not be issued.
Workers engaged for the work by contractor are to be paid as per minimum wages act of
central Government.
Tenders of the contractors/suppliers who will not deposit earnest money Rs. 46,300/- (Rupees Forty Six
Thousand and Three Hundred Only) vide Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank in favour of the
“Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India, Kolkata circle, Kolkata” and copies of
the Registration Certificate and latest Income tax clearance certificate/Vat clearance certificate as per
notification of Directorate of commercial taxes, West Bengal vide no. 1290 F.T. dated 31.07.2006 shall be
summarily rejected. The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without
assigning any reasons thereof. Conditions & Tender Forms can be obtained from the office of the
Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India, Kolkata circle, Kolkata before 16.00 hours on
all working days on payment of Rs. 1000/- only (non-refundable) on or before 06.01.2015. Last date of
application for tender form 05.01.2015.
In case of public holiday declared on the opening date of Tender the same would be opened on the next working
day.
CONTRACTORS/SUPPLIERS MUST SUBMIT THE TENDERS DIRECTLY TO THIS OFFICE IN
PERSONS OR BY POST WITHIN THE STIPULATED DATE.
Execution of works should be completed within 120 days from the date of issue of work order.
All tender forms downloaded from Archaeological Survey of India Website shall be accepted only if the
tender form cost is remitted while submitting the tenders.
