RECOGNITIONS:
The following groups and/or individuals were recognized:

Regional Quarter Finalists, Academic All-District, AllDistrict Teams, and All-State Team

6. Officer David Torres – Service to Kerrville ISD
ACTION ITEMS:
1. Consider Yearly Report of Board Member Training
The Board approved the board member training information
for the past year and caused the minutes to reflect that all
board members have met or exceeded the required hours of
continuing education.
INFORMATION ITEMS:
1. Superintendent Performance Goal 1: Campus
Improvement Plan Report
Mrs. Wendy Tiemann, Principal at Nimitz Elementary School,
and Mrs. Holly Jones, Principal at Tally Elementary School,
presented a short overview of the Campus Improvement Plan
(CIP) for Nimitz Elementary School and Tally Elementary
School.
4. Review Personnel, including but not limited to Employee
Performance, Resignations, Retirements, Professional
Appointments, Requests for Leave of Absence, and Substitute
Teacher List [This item may be discussed in closed session
pursuant to Section 551.074.]
Three retirements and one resignation were reviewed and one
professional appointment was approved: Retirements: Sherry
Eckhart (12-31-14); Lizabeth Peters (12-20-14); and Jennifer
Young (3-9-15). Resignation: Alexis Von Biedenfeld (12-1914). Professional Appointments: Mary Elizabeth PlaxicoChandler-Assistant Orchestra Director. The addendum to the
KISD Substitute Teacher List was reviewed.
2. New Course Offerings at Tivy High School Report
Mr. Jarrett Jachade, Principal at Tivy High School, presented
an overview of the new course offerings report. The five
recommended courses included Energy, Power and
Transportation Systems, Small Engine Technology, Computer
Programming, Advance Computer Programming, and
Securities and Investments.
3. 2015-2016 School Calendar Report
At the October 20, 2014 Board of Trustees meeting, KISD
administration presented legal and local parameters for the
2015-2016 school calendar. After gathering information from
the Board of Trustees and reviewing with campuses, the
Faculty Community Advisory Committee (FCAC) calendar
committee has completed its process of developing a
recommended calendar for the Board of Trustees. KISD
administration will recommend the proposed calendar for
2015-2016 at the January 19, 2015 regularly scheduled Board
of Trustees meeting.
3. Financial Reports
The Board reviewed the following monthly financial reports:
 General Operating Expenditure Report
 Property Tax Collection Report
 Investment Report
 Head Start Report
 Food Service Report
2. Consider Purchases of $10,000 or More
The Board approved a purchase of $10,000 or more.
3. Consider Budget Amendments
The Board approved the budget amendments.
The Board approved the appointment of Lesle Stevens to
Special Programs Director for the 2014-2015 school year.
