INAUGURAL MARCH TO FLORIDA UMPIRE CLINIC MARCH 15, 2015 TO MARCH 19, 2015 Presented By: Collegiate Officials Group Clinic Overview COG offers innovative umpire instruction, preparing umpires to work three-man mechanics at the highest levels of NCAA baseball. COG believes in an intense and professional approach to the instruction of three-man umpire mechanics with an emphasis on plate and base work augmented by live game evaluation. The talented staff of instructors will include Darrin Sealey, NCAA CWS Umpire and Conference Coordinator for six Division I Conferences, Chris Marshall, NCAA Super Regional Umpire, and Joe Cruz, NCAA Regional Umpire. Location The clinic will take place in Lantana, Florida at the Santaluces Sports Complex, the former spring training home of the Montreal Expos. Cost and Attendance Total cost for this event is $395. Tuition includes classroom instruction on Sunday night followed by cage work, simulated game instruction, and live game evaluations Monday through Thursday. The clinic will start at 7:00pm on Sunday, March 15th and conclude midafternoon on Thursday, March 19th. Participants should arrive Sunday morning and depart Thursday evening. Palm Beach International is the closest airport. COG expects to acquire a clinic room rate of approximately $119 plus tax per night, which students can use as a baseline for their lodging search.
