One in two women and one in five men will suffer a debilitating
fracture due to osteoporosis, a disease that causes bones to
become weak and brittle. Bone Builders is an osteoporosis
prevention exercise program for women and men age 50+. Join
us for this free, on-going series of weight-bearing exercise classes designed to help
lower the risk of osteoporosis. Pre-registration and medical provider clearance is
required. Class size is limited; call Cary PR at 498.1361 to register or for more

Winter First Aid

Did you know there are probably items hiding right in your
kitchen that could ease a cough, fight bacteria, or heal
distressed skin? Natural health consultant, Cara Miller, will
share timely tips and natural remedies that can help you breeze
through the cold and flu season. Join us as we discuss what
items you need in your arsenal for winter health care and how to
safely use them. You might even win a winter first aid kit door prize!
Eggs & Issues: Substance Abuse in the Workplace

Drug use among employees and their family members can lead
to expensive problems in the workplace. This free business
breakfast features a panel of professionals who will address the
economic and workplace impacts of substance abuse. Attendees
will learn about drugs common in our area and what employers
can do to help reduce the negative effects. Please RSVP by Friday, January 9 by

Hidden in Plain Sight
Friday, January 16; 5:00 - 8:00 PM

A must-see for anyone who has children or teens in their life!
“Hidden in Plain Sight” is an interactive exhibit designed to
resemble a teenager’s bedroom. Participants explore the
simulated room looking for the often overlooked or hidden clues
that may indicate teen substance abuse, underage drinking, and
other risky behaviors. Staff will be on-hand to offer guidance and
helpful information. Light refreshments will be served. Hosted by
Plourde Furniture, Caribou Police Dept., Power of Prevention, and Healthy You.

Safe Home Medication Lunch N’ Learn
