UPCOMING EVENTS
YOUTH/MISSION NEWS
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
As we begin 2015, we have several
things to be involved in within our
church family. May we all be involved
where God wants us and purpose in our
hearts to point others toward Him this
year.
It is always an exciting time to start the New
Year! Here at Hillcrest we begin the year
with a revival, a new year of Sunday school,
Children’s & Youth ministries, what could be
on the horizon? That will be determined by
you and your commitment and obedience to
our Lord. Make this the greatest year in the
history of Hillcrest Baptist Church, you will
make the difference.
God bless you! See you in Sunday school
this Sunday!
Bro. Dwayne
January 11-14 - Revival services with
Bro. Malcom Ellis and The Atens.
January 23-24 - Hot Hearts Youth
Conference in Beaumont - Students can
sign up now. The cost is $45 per person.
February 7 - We will be hosting a
Disaster Relief Training Session at
Hillcrest. If you have never gotten your
Phase 1 Training for Disaster Relief and
you are interested in doing so, this
would be a great opportunity for you to
get involved with Disaster Relief. I will
have more information for you regarding
registering for this event in the very near
future.
February 27 - March 1 - Disciple Now
Weekend. Our preacher for the weekend
will be Joe Wiley and our band for the
weekend will be Micah Tyler. Please be
in prayer for these and all who will be
leading out at Disciple Now. Also please
pray that God will work in the lives of
our students during this weekend as
well.
Thanks for all you do.
Bro. Jeff
Pilgrims
We had about 50 at our December
meeting. Clayton Dyess presented a
program of music and his testimony.
He had free CD’s. I think everyone
enjoyed his music. We had a wonderful meal, lots of fun and fellowship.
Thanks to all who made contributions
to the East Texas Pregnancy Center.
You were very generous. They were
greatly appreciated.
By the time you read this we will have
been to Lufkin to the Milagro Tea
House. Thanks to Glynda Smith for
driving the van. Bro. Al has some
good trips planned for next year.
When was the last time you went on a
hay ride?
In our January meeting on the 6th we
will have a program on Air Medical
Helicopters. Come and learn about
this new company.
Hope you had a Merry Christmas and
wish you a Happy New Year!

JANUARY 2015 - CALENDAR
Music Ministry
A big thanks to all of you who were
involved in the Christmas programs. Many
hours of practice and preparation went into
those two wonderful performances.
With a new year beginning, many people
will be making resolutions. As Christians,
we should all resolve to serve the Lord
with all of our heart, mind and strength. If
that includes singing in the choir, good
news!...there are still some openings, and
we have just the place for you. Wherever
the Lord leads you to serve, like Bro. Dave
says, “Be there and be all there!” Let’s all
start a new year of faithfulness and
commitment.
Be sure to put our revival on your calendar.
I can’t think of a better way to start a new
year. Please continue to pray for your
Search Committee as they seek to find
God’s man for our church.
The Music Ministry
Thanks to a generous donation to the church
library we have added over 100 new books.
