A direct deposit service from the IRS and GASFCU
Taxpayers can now divide their refunds three ways! Working with GASFCU, the
IRS will transmit your 2010 tax refund using direct deposit. Millions of taxpayers

Split deposits offer more options
Starting this year, you can now select up to three financial accounts for direct
deposit of your tax refund. For example, you can choose among IRA accounts,
checking and savings as well as Health Savings Accounts, Coverdell education
accounts or Archer medical savings accounts. You decide which three are best

How to arrange direct deposit of your tax refund
1 Use new I.R.S. Form 8888 to split your refund among 3 different accounts.
2 Use the appropriate line under “refund” on Form 1040 to deposit into a single
account.

Sure, big banks are attractive, with their vast array of credit products, ﬂashy commercials, and glossy
logos. But for the most part, credit unions are hard to beat. Banks are fundamentally proﬁt institutions.
They are more likely to take risks with your money and charge their customers high fees. The sole
purpose for a credit union’s existence is your best interests and not the bottom line of the institution. Big
banks, on the other hand, are there to turn a proﬁt and will seemingly do whatever it takes to grease
the Wall Street Stockholders. With a credit union, you are more likely to see lower fees and get higher
dividend rates. Our goal is to give you a better customer service experience.
Despite these advantages, less than one-third of Americans use credit unions. Spread the word to
