The following Sessional Instructional Assistant positions in the Forensic Science Program, Department of Anthropology at UTM is open for applications for the 2014-15 academic session beginning in the

RATE OF PAY as of September 1, 2013: $42.05/hr (plus 4% vacation pay).
This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 (Unit 1) Collective Agreement. The Forensic Science Program, Department of Anthropology, Statement of Policy is available in Room 402 HSC Bldg.

Qualifications
A Masters degree in one of the forensic sub discipline
fields (in progress or completed) is preferred with
courses/training/experience in forensic identification
required --will consider a 4-year BSc degree in
Forensic Science with courses/training/experience in
forensic identification / demonstrated excellence in
course subject matter; knowledge of Canadian
Policing Services & Canadian Forensic Identification
procedures and techniques and/or prior experience is
required as is WHIMS training.

Appointment to a course is subject to approval by the
course instructor. Preference is given to qualified
graduate students registered with SGS, who have in
addition, obtained their B.Sc. in Forensic Science at
UTM and who work in research labs within the related
forensic sub disciplines at UTM.
Duties
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- laboratory demonstrations
-Assisting/conducting practicals
-preparing/setting-up lab materials
-preparing/staging of FSC crime scene house
-consult with students and supervisor
-invigilating tests/exams
-marking of course tests/assignments.
