Within Lutheran schools, if that answer is “no,” we often make it an opportunity either at one of our school chapel services, or within our church services on Sunday. Just as in all churches, some denominations view baptism different than others. Our pastoral staff would welcome the conversation with you, or you can begin with your child’s classroom teacher. Thanks for the Cookies: Thanks so much – Zion families – for the delicious cookies you blessed us with! Tardies/Absences: Please be advised that RenWeb generates automatic reports to you and to us when tardies and/or absences reach a certain level. At some point we will ask to conference with you to help us understand either lateness, or being absent too many day. Our goal is always to work with you to come up with a solution. Did you know? GENEROSITY 8th graders and $100: One of our families blessed our 8th grade class with an opportunity. They will each receive $100 and will need to come up with a plan to use it to bless others. They will write about their experience, and will present it in a chapel service in 2015. Another great teaching opportunity in Christian education. Pizza: Another one of our families purchased pizza for each classroom for their Christmas parties. BLESSED Technology: Next week we hope to send you part of our plan to make our high-tech school even more so. We will be initiating a technology fee for 2015 – 2016, and want you to be aware of how it will be utilized to benefit the children of our school. From the Faculty and Staff of Zion: We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! Through this genealogy, Abbie Adams learns of Rahab’s bravery, Ruth’s loyalty, David’s repentance, Josiah’s wisdom and Mary and Joseph’s obedience. But most importantly, she learns that she, too, can be adopted into the Christmas Family Tree of faith. This program will be presented on Christmas Eve, December 24 at 6:00 p.m. On Wednesday, December 24, students should stay with their parents until 5:30 p.m. when their teacher/s have arrived at their classroom.
