Soccer (Female) 1 Rules and Regulations 1.1 All players will abide to the General Rules and Regulations as laid down by the Inter-Hall Games Convening Committee 2014/15. 1.2 All FWA rules apply, except those stated below. 1.3 This is a 7-a-side tournament. 1.4 All players have to be in proper attire, ie. Full jersey T-shirt with number, boots without metal studs, long socks, shin pads, short fingernails etc. Referees are to check on the above before commencement of the match. Players are not allowed to play until the proper changes to attire are made. 1.5 A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to herself or another player, including any kind of jewellery. 1.6 Players must be residents of the respective halls. Each team will be allowed to register a maximum of twenty-one (21) players. 1.7 The finalized team registration list is to be handed in 15minutes before the tournament commences. If a team is found to have fielded a non-registered player, they shall forfeit the game and 1 IHG point will be deducted from offending team, and 3 match points with 3 goals awarded to the opposing team. 1.8 All registered players must be assigned only 1 registered jersey number. 1.9 The game shall take place in the format of Carnival Tournament. 1.10 The duration of all matches shall be twenty-eight (28) minutes divided into two (2) halves of twelve (12) minutes each half with four (4) minutes break between turnaround. 1.11 A match is played by two (2) teams, each consisting of no more than seven (7) players, one (1) of whom is the goalkeeper. At the start of a match, each team must have seven (7) players. Any team that fails to field 7 players will be given the grace of 2 minutes 1 from the scheduled time. Failing which, the referee will call off the match and the team with 7 players, which is on the field ready to play will receive a walkover with 3 match points and 3 goals. 1.12 A grace period of two (2) minutes will be given after the scheduled time for kick-off. All teams are expected to be punctual. After this time have lapsed, the team which is on the field ready to play will receive a walkover with 3 match points and 3 goals. 1.13 There will be a minimum rest period of thirty (30) minutes in between any matches for each team. 1.14 There shall be no offside rule. 1.15 The number of substitutions made during a match is unlimited. A player who has been replaced may return to the pitch as a substitute for another player. 1.16 There is no cap on IVP substitutions. 1.17 Any player accumulating two (2) yellow cards will be suspended for the subsequent match. Thereafter, any player who has already received two (2) yellow cards and a match suspension will receive a match suspension for any other yellow card shown to her during the tournament. 1.17.1 Any player who receives a red card in her first game will be banned for the second game. When a yellow card is issued to her for the third game (the game she comes back for), she can continue for the game but is not allowed to take part in the next game. When 2 (two) yellow cards are issued to her for the third game (the games she come back for), she is sent off for that match and subsequently banned for the rest of the tournament. 1.18 Any player who receives a red card will be sent off immediately and suspended for the subsequent match. Any player accumulating two (2) red cards will be banned from the tournament. 1.19 The following scoring system is applicable to the tournament: 1.19.1 1.19.2 1.19.3 1.19.4 1.20 Win Draw Loss Walkover 3 points 1 point 0 point 3 points and 3 goals In the case of a tie on points, the goal difference will be considered followed by head to head, then number of wins. 2 1.21 In the event that there is still a tie, extra time will be played. The extra time will be seven (7) minutes each half with no break between turnaround. If the score is still tied after extra time, golden goal will be played for 5 after end of extra time. If still tied, there will be a penalty shoot out. 1.21.1 Penalty will be played in one set of three 1.21.2 If winner cannot be decided, sudden death will be played. Those who supposed to kick for the penalty are the seven players on the field. 1.22 Professional referees will be engaged for all matches. 1.23 Linesmen will not be required. 1.24 Any disputes must be submitted to the IHG Convening Committee within 24 hours after the tournament. 1.25 Other rules and regulations are stated in the General Rules and Regulations for IHG 14/15 1.26 In the event of inclement weaher, suspend the match, keep all scores and postpone the match to another time starting from where it was suspended (based on individual sports rules) unless there is a mutual agreement between the captains to end the game and use the existing scores as match results. 1.27 In the event of a disqualification and there is a tie between 2 teams, the two teams will play extra 7 minutes each half with no break between turnaround. If the score is still tied after extra time, golden goal will be played for 5 minutes. If still tied, then there will be a penalty shootout. 1.27.1 Penalty will be played in one set of three 1.27.2 If winner cannot be decided, sudden death will be played.
