Rules and regulations for Albany Champs 1. All players must report to the convener 15 min prior to the starting time. 1.1 Friday 30/01 & 06/02 Junior Boys (10&U, 12&U) start at 14h00. 1.2 Friday 30/01 & 06/02 Senior Boys (14&U, 16&U, Open) start at 15h00. 1.3 Saturday 31/01 & 07/02 all girls start at 08h00. 1.4 Sunday 01/02 all boys start at 8h30. 1.5 Sunday 08/02 Finals start at 9h00 at Kingswood. 2. Any player who is more than 15min late will automatically be disqualified. 3. R60 per player is payable before the start of the tournament. If a player is paying cash on the day of the tournament it must please be given to the convener at your venue in a marked envelope (Name of player and school). 4. 10&Under Boys & Girls will play a round robin format and then a ‘knock-out’ format with a forward draw and back draw, number of games for round robin to be determined by number of players in group. 5. 10&Under Boys & Girls will play sudden death (No add). 6. 10&Under Boys & Girls are allowed to ‘donkey drop’ their second serve. (A bounce will be allowed) 7. 12&U, 14&U, 16&U & Open will all play in a Main draw with a forward draw and back draw. 8. 12&U, 14&U, 16&U & Open will play a pro-set (First to 8 games at 7 all a normal tiebreaker will be played). 9. Normal games with add scoring for 12&U, 14&U, 16&U & Open. 10. The semi-finals and finals will consist of a best out of 3 sets match with the 3rd set being a Championship tiebreaker (First to 10 point). 11. A maximum of 15min recovery time will be allowed for a player who is ill/injured during a match, if the player cannot continue the match after 15min he/she will forfeit that match. 12. A maximum of 5min will be allowed for a bathroom break during a match. 13. 10&U & 12&U players will play with the green play&stay balls. 14. 14&U, 16&U & Open will play with normal balls. 15. NO INTERFERENCE FROM A PARENT OR OTHER PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED DURING A MATCH OR THE PLAYER WILL BE PENALISED. 16. If a 10&U player is not sure how to keep score he/she must please tell the convener before the start of the match then a parent of another player may help to keep their score. 17. After the finals on Sunday 08/02 an Albany Team will be selected which consists of 6 Players per age group and 2 reserves (Non-travelling). 18. Only challenge matches inside the team (example nr 6 challenge nr 5 for a better position) will be allowed before the Midlands match. No player lower than nr 6 will be allowed to challenge. The first reserve (nr7) will be allowed to challenge the second reserve (nr8). 19. These teams will play a match against EP Midlands on Monday 16/02. (Venue Grahamstown). 20.
