Notice of Annual Meeting and Election of Directors THE NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL CREDIT UNION 2015 Annual Meeting will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 5:00 pm, at the Credit Union’s headquarters, 141 Harvest Lane, Williston, VT. All members are encouraged to attend. Three Directors will be elected this year. A Nominating Committee has been appointed as per by-laws and has submitted the following candidates: William Meyer, Kathleen S. Ginn, and Michael Nix. Any member, age 18 or older, is eligible for election to the Board of Directors. Questions regarding the election process should be directed to Sue Francis, Internal Auditor, at (802) 764-6528, or to any Board Member. Members are advised that the by-laws stipulate the following: 1. Any member may place his/her name in nomination, exclusive of the nominating committee, by written petition of at least 500 members along with a signed statement that he/ she will serve if elected. In addition, the member must submit a brief statement of qualifications and biographical data with the petition. Such petitions must be received by the Secretary no later than 5:00 pm, February 13, 2015. 2. Should the number of candidates equal the number of open positions on the Board, the election will not be conducted by ballot and nominations will not be held from the floor at the Annual Meeting. Meg H. O’Donnell Secretary, Board of Directors 1366_MHE335 Nominees for the New England Federal Credit Union Board of Directors William Meyer is a 31-year IBM veteran. Mr. Meyer is involved with the Essex Junction Rotary and the Essex Congregational Church. He is an Adjunct Professor of Business at the Community College of Vermont and St. Michael’s College. He has been a NEFCU board member since 1984, served as Board Chair, and currently serves the Human Resources Committee Chair. Kathleen S. Ginn is currently the Senior Warden at St John’s Episcopal church, vice chair of the University of Vermont Medical Center Board, and a member of the boards of NEFCU, University of Vermont Health Network and Wake Robin. She retired from her job as an IBM Vice President in January 2011. She began at IBM in 1982 as a DRAM circuit designer and had many varied roles throughout her career, primarily in development, but also in manufacturing and business. She managed silicon technology development and systems development for nine years. She managed the PowerPC microprocessor business unit for six years, where she expanded PowerPC from IT and networking applications into gaming and consumer segments. In this role, she worked closely with clients such as Apple, Nintendo and Sony. She managed a corporate strategy team where she had the opportunity to work with the IBM CEO and his staff on technology strategy decisions. Michael Nix has been employed since 1989 at The University of Vermont Medical Center (formerly Fletcher Allen Health Care) which is the medical center hub of the University of Vermont Health Network spanning Vermont and Northern New York facilities. His role is currently Director of Analytics in the Jeffords Institute for Quality. Mr. Nix has also taught at the college level since 1985, first at Trinity College of Vermont and subsequently at Champlain College since 2001. His areas of academic discipline include Finance, Economics, General Business and Financial/Economic Modeling. At Champlain College he is currently teaching Financial/Economic Modeling in the MBA program. He served on the Vermont Healthcare Credit Union Board 1991-1996, prior to its merger with NEFCU, and has served as a NEFCU Board member since 1997. He currently serves as Chair of the Finance Committee, is the current Board Treasurer, is a NEFCU Pension Fund Trustee, as well as being a member of the NEFCU Charitable Giving Committee.
