On Wednesday 21st January a vigil will be held at St Swithun Church from 6.00pm-9.00pm. ST BARTHOLOMEW: Mid-week Holy Communion will now be held in the Darch Room until the end of March. ADVENT LUNCH: We have received a letter of thanks from Christian Aid for our generous donation of £417 raised at the Advent Lunch. The UK Government has pledged to match Christmas fundraising which will be spent on maternal healthcare projects in Kenya and Malawi. Thanks to all who contributed. THE NIGHTSHELTER: St Bartholomew Parish raised £624.75 during Advent for the Nightshelter. Thanks to everyone for their generous support. COFFEE MORNING: Last Wednesday’s coffee morning at St Bartholomew raised £65 for parish funds. Thank you to all who contributed to this. Canon Jeremy Davies, Precentor Salisbury Cathedral 1985-2012, will address approaches to prayer through words, music, the visual arts, and silence. SPACE FOR PEACE: Choirs, schools and faith groups will gather to sing for peace at Winchester Cathedral on Tuesday 27th January at 7.15pm. Admission is free but there is a retiring collection. BENEFICE MEETING: Cliff is holding an open meeting for all in the Benefice on Saturday 31st January at 9.30am for 10.00am start at Hyde Parish Hall to discuss future changes within the Deanery.
