WE’RE FOR
WORKING
TOGETHER
OUR CALL FOR MORE CARERS
Life Without Barriers’ carers are special people
who enable children and young people to grow,
develop and explore life’s opportunities.
Carers undertake a rigorous assessment and
training process to ensure they are able to provide
a suitable care environment. Each child and
young person is then matched to an approved
carer based on a range of criteria that aims to
promote stability and long-lasting relationships.
All carer families receive ongoing support and
training to maintain their capacity to care. We
believe well supported carers are able to better
assist children and young people.
Our carers are part of a larger care team that
includes a range of professionals depending on
the child’s needs. Input is provided at a national
and regional level to ensure carers are recruited,
trained and supported.
We are currently seeking compassionate
individuals, couples and families to become
carers by providing long or short-term or
respite care. Carers can be single, partnered –
married, unmarried or same sex couples –
with or without children.
