Meal Memberships Campus dining is a big part of the college experience. Our goal is to provide a variety of healthy foods in a fun atmosphere. We hope to enrich your dining experience by making it eventful and enjoyable. In addition to the areas listed for Dining Dollars, Fiat Bux can be used at other University locations; Clay Store in Binns-Merrill, The Press of the Dingbat in Harder Hall, copiers in Scholes and Herrick Libraries, and the Book Store on the second floor of Powell Campus Center. Fiat Bux can be purchased at Knight’s Den in Powell and MidKnight Express during regular hours of operation with cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover.) Fiat Bux are good until Commencement day of each academic year. These can only be used by the meal plan member. Saxon Swipes are meals that can be used at a variety of locations: Knight’s Den and MidKnight Express for a combo meal, at Ade Dining Hall as a meal for members, or a swipe can be used if a member runs short on Ade meals. Saxon Swipes are good for each semester only and do not roll from one semester to the next. Saxon Swipes can be used for guests. Dining Dollars are used like cash at any AVI Fresh location and at select vending machines. Dining Dollars only come with the purchase of a meal plan, additional Dining Dollars are not for sale. Fall semester balances carry over to the spring semester. Dining Dollars are available through Commencement day of each academic year. The Pure Station offers living foods for a living body. Our raw food program spans many ethnicities. Cooking certain foods can diminish its nutritional value. We believe eating food with the life force still intact can lead to greater health and fosters creativity in the kitchen. We create house-made selections from our very onwn pasta noodle machine, fresh peanut butter machine, a gelato maker, pastry cooler and a meat smoker. All of these additions allow AVI Fresh to continue to make very creative and healthy menu options for our guests. Three flat screen televisions are provided for guests to view our digital menus, interact with our live text polling, check out information about AVI Fresh and events going on at Ade Hall. There were also new seating, flooring and ceiling elements added to Ade Hall. Bistro seating was added in various areas to create different levels of seating for guests to use. The overall look of the facility is much more modern and trendy. Knight’s Den Powell Dining Hall has gone under a major construction to develop it into a beautiful new retail Cafe. There are several new and exciting dining options that cover a variety of food styles for our guests to enjoy from freshly made to order wraps, “South of the Border” inspired dishes, gourmet coffee beverages, hand-breaded chicken dishes with house-made sauces, and rounded out with an all natural smoothie program. Pizzas, strombolis and calzones featuring homemade dough and sauce. Made-to-order wraps and salads with handcut vegetables and signature sauces. Serving gourmet coffee along with fresh pastries, bagels and donuts. “South of the Border” meals made fresh to your order. Convenient, freshly prepared salads, wraps, desserts and snacks. Signature hand-breaded chicken dishes, premium burgers, served straight from the grill with homemade dipping sauces.
