The following is a breakdown of initial and annual costs. Please note these costs are subject to change.
AHG Girl Member Registration - $26.00 per girl annually, due at registration (maximum $60 per family)
This registration fee goes directly to American Heritage Girls in September.
AHG VA9020 Troop Dues - $19.00 per girl annually, due at registration (no maximum per family)
Troop Dues are used by the Troop to cover the cost of four planned Badges the girls will earn during the
program year, (or for the program supplies necessary for the Pathfinder Unit) and also to help offset the
cost of AHG Adult Member Registrations for our Leadership Team volunteers.
AHG National Support Fee - $20.00 per girl annually (no maximum per family)
This is a fee that our Troop pays to AHG every March. Participation in our Kroger Community Rewards
fundraising program usually covers this entire fee for families. Those who do not participate in the Kroger
Community Rewards fundraising program will need to pay this fee in February of the program year. If the
Kroger Community Rewards fundraising program is unsuccessful, all families may be invoiced for this fee in
February.
Handbooks & Uniforms – varies, see below
Pathfinder Level
• Official AHG Pathfinder Uniform and Handbook Package - $28.00
• Additional Required Uniform Components: Navy skort or slacks
Tenderheart – Patriot Levels
• Girl Handbook - $18.00
This is a one-time purchase good for the duration of the program (Tenderheart – Patriot).
Each girl needs her own handbook.
• Official AHG Uniform Components: $14.00 - $26.00
This varies based on program level. A uniform only needs to be purchased once per program level.
For instance, a 1st grade Tenderheart may wear the same uniform for all three years she’s in the
Tenderheart Unit. There are also packages available which include uniforms, handbooks, the official
AHG polo shirt (which is optional in our Troop) and Badge magic. See the Order form for details.

Tenderheart: White polo shirt, Navy skort, slacks or skirt
Explorer: White polo shirt, Khaki skort, slacks or skirt
Pioneer: White polo shirt, Khaki skort, slacks or skirt
Patriot: Red polo shirt, Khaki skort, slacks or skirt
Badges
The Troop dues cover the cost for four planned Badges throughout the program year, and the Troop covers all
service stars earned during the program year. Additional badges earned at home or at special activities will be
covered by the family. Badges are $3.25 each.
Additional Costs
There may be additional costs throughout the year. Special activities will often have a cost associated with
them. Special activities are optional, but highly encouraged. From time to time there may be an extra cost
associated with Badge work. For instance, a small fee may be invoiced to cover the cost of art supplies for the
Textile Arts Badge.
AHG Regional Summer Camp
Our Troop highly encourages attendance at AHG Regional Summer Camp for the Explorer through Patriot
levels. Camp costs will be discussed with parents at the beginning of the year. Fundraising opportunities and
payment plans will be made available to interested families.
Fundraising Policy
Funds earned through our Kroger Community Rewards fundraising program and other fundraising efforts
support the Troop budget and enable girls and their families to lessen the out-of-pocket costs of the program.
Each year, the Troop Board reviews the Troop budget and determines the fundraising goals for the upcoming
year. The Troop may fundraise for a particular project or trip as needs arise. Girls may wish to fundraise
individually in order to participate in future events or for registration costs. It is the goal of the Troop Board to
keep fundraising to a minimum. All fundraising is optional, but a lack of Troop funds may mean that Troop
operating costs will be passed on to individual members/families.
Benevolent Funds
Benevolent funds may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Troop Coordinator, Katie
Bjorklund, at 540-947-2909 to discuss your need.

Troop Dues
Uniform & Handbook Packages
For Pathfinders, this package includes everything a Pathfinder needs for the program. It includes the official
Pathfinder T-shirt, the Pathfinder necklace kit with Troop # beads, and the Pathfinder Girl Handbook.
For Tenderhearts and Explorers, the package includes the appropriate uniform, the AHG Girl Handbook, an official AHG
polo shirt, and a Badge Magic starter kit, The official AHG polo shirt is an optional item for our Troop. Girls may also
wear a plain white polo shirt. If you do not wish to purchase the official AHG polo shirt, it is less expensive to
purchase the other items individually. Startup Packages are not available for Pioneers.

email your order details to Katie Bjorklund on or before Aug 25, shipping is free. After Aug 25,
there is a shipping cost of $3.00.
