NIVERVILLE HERITAGE LIFE LEASE PROJECT
Creating an Extraordinary
Life Enriching Experience
Heritage Life Personal Care Home and Special Care Unit are the continuum of
the aging in place vision that the Niverville Heritage Centre Project began with
the construction of Niverville Credit Union Manor. The aging-in-place concept
represents the various housing options that exist within the community that can
accommodate the changing needs of our residents. These options include:
Independent living • Assisted Living • Supportive Housing
Personal Care • Special Care
The Niverville Heritage Life Lease Project will complete the aging in place vision
by providing the Independent Living Component to the vision. The 2014 Gala
will mark the official kick-off to the marketing campaign for suites. The Life Lease
facility will be connected to the Niverville Heritage Centre and offer several suite
size options. Residents will be able to choose from a variety of support services
such as housekeeping, laundry and a la carte food services options. The Life Lease
facility will also provide convenient access to all the health care services already
provided at the Heritage Centre. Information packages will be made available
during the Afterglow following the 2014 Gala Program.

Life Lease Housing Update
Afterglow following the Program
provide seniors and persons with disabilities with appropriate housing options in a
time of their lives where support services are essential to their quality of life. Prior
to 2007 our community did not have these housing options and as a result many
community members were forced to move away. The Niverville Heritage Centre
Project, a collective community partnership established to address these housing
needs, has achieved much to this end since the official launch to the Project in
2003.
Surrounding our resident homes are courtyards, gardens and children’s play areas.
This “green” space is essential in helping us achieve our Vision for Heritage Life

the enrichment of residents, staff and the community at large whenever they visit
the gardens. It is our objective to create a “jewel” for the community that we can
all be proud of and contribute to the goals we have for all aspects of the Niverville
Heritage Centre.
We already have a great start with the Norman Wittick Memorial Garden, the
Pioneer Botanical Commemorative Garden, the gazebo and raised box garden
area where local volunteers offer programming to our residents and our “budding”
Junior Gardeners. Heritage Life also has several courtyards and we wish to make
them even more mobility friendly. We want to build on the foundation that has
been set. Major items would include expanding the green space, adding walking
paths, furniture, fencing and planting more trees and shrubs etc. All this will be
carefully planned with the new Life Lease Project in mind. Please consider the
various partnership options available as we seek to complete the green component
of the Niverville Heritage Centre campus. See you at the Gala!
