Congratulations to our newly elected MLA Mr. Madan Lal on his electoral success! In an informal meeting
with the Executive Committee he promised to be of utmost assistance to residents in solving issues related to
his area of work. He has consented to be available on every Second Saturday of the month at the Gumbad.
Security
All periphery Colony gates are locked from 10:00PM to 5:30AM. Entry and exit is on either side of Varun
Marg, on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg (D Block Side) and Bhishma pitama Marg (Market side)
In an effort to facilitate Emergency exit from the Colony at night, it is proposed to man the gate along the
Nallah towards Ring Road near E1. This facility will only be applicable on verification, to cars with the
Colony sticker.
Society Charges
These charges, as given below, are used by your RWA primarily towards putting up and maintaining colony
gates and deployment of colony security. These charges can be paid at the Gumbad on all working days
from 11am to 2 pm.

Do ensure that you make the payment directly at the Gumbad against a receipt. In case any senior citizen is
unable to come to the Gumbad in person kindly inform us and we will have the amount collected from your
residence and the receipt delivered to you.
It is requested that in case there are any previous pending dues, then these also be cleared.
Property Owners need to ensure payment of Society Charges by their tenants, from the date of occupancy.
It should be noted that Car stickers will only be issued on receipt of society charges.
Nallah greens
There are two new slip roads on either side of the bridge on Varun Marg for easy commute between C and
D Blocks, in order to ease traffic on the bridge. Some residents had started using these slip roads for Parking.
It is requested that residents refrain from parking here as these are meant for free flow of vehicular traffic.
In our endeavour to make the walking tracks on the Nallah greens resident friendly, we have employed 4
day guards to keep a check on any misuse of the parks. It would be really appreciated if pet dogs are not
taken to this area for defecation. There is no provision for regular sweeping and cleaning of the area and as
such it is impossible to walk on the walking tracks. The suggestion is to use the back lanes for this as they are
regularly cleaned and to leave the Colony roads free for walking without having to lookout for what you are
walking into!
Horticulture
Residents are requested to inform the Gumbad if they have any dead trees around their houses or in
their lanes. It will be a help if the location i.e. the house number close to it is also mentioned.
There are certain guidelines regarding horticulture that residents need to be aware of. These are:

Residential green clippings should to be put in the garbage bins after chopping them into small pieces.
All Parks should keep their cuttings inside the Parks; these will be picked up by MCD in rotation.
No Park is to be locked by Park committees anytime during the day. The gates should be locked only
at night from 10:00PM to 5:30AM in the morning.
Road encroachment
The Colony roads are becoming increasingly pedestrian unfriendly. While car parking has taken away a lot
of walking areas, the problem has got compounded with residents putting up impediments in the form of
potted plants, boulders, chains etc. Your personal space is within the boundary of your property and it is
requested that all such encroachments/impediments are removed.
Government agencies can also be roped in to improve walking comfort in the Colony; so do call us at the
Gumbad to inform about any non functional street lights, water leakage, pot holes on the roads,
unauthorized speed breakers being constructed by builders/residents or any misuse of road space and
Government land.
Vendors
It is requested not to patronize any Vendors like fruit/ vegetable vendors, kabarivalas etc who are not
carrying passes issued by your Welfare Association. Further no Vendors are to enter the back lanes as
many petty thefts occur from here. Do be vary and check on any unlawful activity happening around your
house. Your cooperation and vigilance will go a long way in making our colony safer.
Tradesmen
The Rate list for Tradesmen registered at the Association has been updated and each tradesman is in
possession of the same. The visiting charge of the tradesmen is Rs50/-, payable only if they are called but
their services are not utilized. Otherwise the amount is adjusted towards their labour charge.
