The course is delivered to pilots in pairs and its duration is approximately 3 months*. The FOT Program package includes the following: Multi-crew Cooperation - MCC 32 hours This short course is designed to teach you how to work as a pair – as a pilot and co-pilot. This is not about the technical aspects of flying but about the human aspect. The objectives of the MCC training are to optimize communication, division of tasks, use of checklists, mutual supervision, teamwork and support throughout all phases of flight under normal, abnormal and emergency conditions. Crew (or Cockpit) Resource Management - CRM 5 days CRM is a set of training procedures for use in environments where human error can have devastating effects. Used primarily for improving air safety, CRM focuses on interpersonal communication, leadership, and decision making in the cockpit. Jet Orientation Training - JOT 16 hours Where MCC was not concerned with the technical aspects of flying a jet, JOT is just that. This course focuses on improving aeronautical proficiency and bridges the gap between flying propellerdriven aircraft and piloting fast jets. In JOT you train over several sessions that build on each other, the complexity increasing each time, as do the demands placed on you.
