The University City campus is conveniently located on Philadelphia’s Avenue of Technology corridor one on block from Amtrak’s 30th Street Train Station. Program Features: The Bachelor of Human Services (BHS) Program, also known as the BHS/FLEX FLEX Program, offers an accelerated degree for adult learners who work in the human services field. The program’s adult-centered adult approach maintains high academic standards, while offering a personal academic plan plan-of-study study for each student. The proven and tested undergraduate major in human services at The Lincoln University serves as the foundation for the BHS/FLEX FLEX Program. All required core courses and major requirements have been incorporated, with minor modifications, to accommodate the mature student with work-related experience. Prospective students must be currently employed in human services with at least one year of work experience in the field. Credits earned from previous academic studies, life life-learning learning experiences, and professional experience will allow the student to apply for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit toward the undergraduate degree. Consequently, the BHS/ BHS/FLEX FLEX Program serves as an accelerated bachelor’s degree program. Students who transfer more than 60 approved credit hours from another institution must meet the residency requirement of at least 24 credit hours, including 15 credits in human services major subjects. Students can meet the requirements of The Lincoln University core curriculum and the human services major by taking university niversity courses, passing College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests, and preparing professional portfolios and presentations and/or examinations documenting prior learning using The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning earning (CAEL) standards. Students may also transfer courses that are documented by official academic transcripts from regionally accredited academic institutions with a grade of C or better. To meet graduation requirements, students will need to successfully satisfy coursework inclusive of core courses, major courses, and electives, as well as a writing proficiency requirement. Each student enrolled in the BHS/FLEX BHS/F Program will receive individual academic advising upon acceptance and throughout enrollment in the program. All courses are offered at The Lincoln University University-University City Campus located at 3020 Market Street in Philadelphia. Classes are offered on Saturdays and Monday through Friday during the evenings. The BHS/FLEX Program is a hybrid program: students attend face-to-face face classes on some weeks and online other weeks, according to a schedule established at the beginning of each semester semester.. Students S will work with a professional staff person to prepare for assessment of their prior learning credits.
