Batavia Bulldog Football WEBSITE
Jr. Bulldog Football
Come join us for our 17th year of this great Batavia tradition. Learn basic football skills,
positions and terminology, and develop speed and coordination while having fun! All
participants will receive a t-shirt and other camp goodies. 7th graders will have a helmet and
should pads - a "mini-camp" designed to help prepare athletes for the 7th grade tackle
football program in August. 7th graders not signed up for the BYF tackle program can
participate in the traditional Junior Bulldog Camp with grades 5 & 6.

Batavia Bulldog Summer
Football Camp
The purpose of the Bulldog Football Camp is to prepare individuals, and the 8th grade through
Varsity teams, for the beginning of the 2014 season. The camp curriculum includes individual
offensive and defensive position work as well as group and team concepts. The first two
weeks of camp (June 16-20 and June 23-27) will run M-F for grades 10-12. The final three
weeks of camp (July 14-18, July 21-25, and July 28- Aug 1) will run on M/W/F for grades 10-12.
The 8-9 levels will run M/W/F for the entire camp.

Bulldog Touch Football League
Come join us for the 11th year of Batavia Youth Football (BYF). 1st and 2nd graders will play
touch and the 3rd - 6th graders will play flag. Skills, sportsmanship, and fun will be the basis of
the league. Teams will typically practice one night during the week with games on Saturday
mornings. A jersey and mouthpiece will be issued. Coaches training provided. Please include
the grade of the participant as of Fall 2014 and the school that is attended in the notes
section. Participation is limited - sign up early! A $40 late fee will be charged for anyone who
signs up starting on 7/21/14. Registration will be closed and no one will be accepted after
07/28/14.

RMS Cross Country Camp (Grades 5 - 8)
Along with the actual running/training, the kids will learn distance running training concepts,
importance of nutrition for distance running, and the value of weight and core training for
distance running. The basis of our instruction is consistency through a TEAM concept to
achieve personal bests. All ability levels are welcome. This is a lifelong, rewarding, and healthy
activity for kids of all ability levels. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. Monday and
Thursday class is held at Big Woods Park. Tuesday and Friday class is held at Batavia High School
Field House.

BHS Girls Cross Country Camp (Grades 9 - 12)
The Batavia High School girl's summer running program is for any girl looking to get in top
notch shape for the upcoming season. One of the key features of our program is the synergy
that is created by the pooling of determined runners of different abilities. We have training
groups that range from newcomers to the sport to some of the top local runners and state
competitors. Our goal is to help you improve individually as a runner to prepare you for the
fall season. The basis of our training is consistency through a TEAM concept. First class will
meet on Monday, June 9. Monday and Thursday class will meet at the Big Woods Park. Tuesday
and Friday class will meet at the Batavia High School Field House.

Bulldog Beginner Pole Vault Camp (Grades 6 - 12)
This camp is designed for new or beginning athletes entering grades 6 - 12. Every athlete that
comes to camp will learn the basic fundamentals of the pole-vault, an exciting and challenging
event in track and field. We are dedicated to developing pole vaulters of all ages and levels. If
you are new or are just learning to vault this is the camp for you. Our goal is to provide our
students with all the tools, techniques, knowledge and motivation required to excel as a pole
vaulter. We are committed to providing a safe and wholesome environment where each
athlete can learn to be, "The Best They Can Be". All equipment provided. Athletes will receive

Bulldog Intermediate/Advanced
Pole Vault Camp (Grades 10 - 12)
This camp is designed for the intermediate/advanced pole vaulter entering grades 10 - 12.
Every athlete that comes to camp will review all of the basic fundamentals of the pole-vault as
well as learn the latest drills and training techniques to help them improve their vaulting skills.
We are dedicated to developing pole vaulters of all ages and levels. Our goal is to provide our

Bulldog Wrestling/Football
Crossover Skills Camp (Grades 5 - 12)
Coaches and varsity players will provide a crash-course in wrestling techniques that benefit
football players at all positions. Participants will learn about maintaining and attacking from an
athletic stance, hand-fighting, attacking an opponent with optimal leverage at a low level,
creating angles of attack, maintaining balance and an aggressive stance, takedown/tackling
skills, footwork, hip explosion and beating the man in front of you. A camp t-shirt is included.
Participants are encouraged to register with a partner of a similar size and weight. Wrestling
shoes and headgear are not necessary for the camp. If participant is in the BHS Football Camp,
fee is only $30.

The camp will offer the opportunity for future girls basketball players to begin learning
fundamentals of basketball, build relationships with teammates and coaches and most

Bulldog Basketball Camp
BHS Head Basketball Coach James Nazos has put together an exciting basketball program for
the summer of 2014. Be a part of Bulldog Basketball by signing up for this 2-week camp that
features a 1-on-1 tournament, hot shot and free throw competition, team competition and
fun for all. Students should be going into grades 1-10 in the fall to participate in this program.
Grades 11-12 will meet Monday and Wednesday only (from 10:30am - 12:00 pm) from June 1625.

Bulldog Pom / Dance Camp
Come to a fun-filled four-day camp with the award winning Bulldog High School pom/dance
team. We will learn dances and build dance skills such as jumps, leaps, turns and much more.
This camp will include a t-shirt, real poms, awards, and performance at the first Varsity Batavia
home football game (the dance participant will get in free at the game)! Dancers will be in
teams according to their age in the school year of 2014-2015: K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8. *Please wear
t-shirts, stretch shorts, gym shoes and hair pulled back. There will be a demo last day of camp.
Information notes to be handed out. If you register less than 1 week prior to start date, your
child will not be guaranteed a set of poms or a t-shirt at the time of camp, they may be issued
after the camp is complete.

Future Bulldog Tennis
This program is designed for kids to learn more about the game of tennis. Participants will be
taught proper forehand/backhand, serve grip and strokes through fun drills and competitions.
Participants will also learn the rules of the game and how to play a set. Treats and prizes will
be given to all participants on Friday.

Summer Tennis Team
These tennis classes are for all students entering grades 4 to 12. The Future Varsity class will
be for students that are new or have little experience with the game of tennis. The class will
focus on rules, fundamentals, basic strokes, and fun games and competitions. The Junior
Varsity class will be for students currently playing on the J.V. team or looking to participate on
the tennis team in high school. The class will focus on stroke development, serving, net play,
singles and doubles match play, and tournaments. The Varsity class will be for varsity level
players that have played on the varsity team or have been recommended by Batavia Tennis
Coaches (must meet one of the criteria to participate in this level). The varsity class will focus
on strategy, stroke development, improving fitness level and footwork, singles and doubles
match play, and tournaments. Summer tennis players in the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels
will have the opportunity to play in two tournaments during the week of that camp session.
Trophies and medals will be given to the top two finishers in each division. Participants must
have their own racquet. Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt. Tennis coaches will be
working on setting up matches against out of town opponents for the varsity level class on
Fridays.
