NAGOYA ~ ENAKYO ~ GERO ONSEN

In the early morning, arrive at sea airport ~
Chubu “Centrair” airport, Nagoya. To pass
through the immigration, you will need to
take a photo and 2 fingerprints at the counter
but no worry it is very high tech!
Tagata Shrine ~ the “secret shrine of Japan”
symbolizing manhood.
Enakyo Gorge ~ a gorge carved by Kiso River
and about 20 kinds of giant strange and
mysterious rocks stand on both sides of the
river. Let’s enjoy the beautiful scenery and
magnificent views of Ena's nature.
Overnight in Gero Onsen area, which is
referred as one of Japan’s three best onsen. It
is also known as the “Beauty-enhancing hot
bath”. This area comes with more than 1000
years history of hot spring pleasures.

Tenshukaku Observation Point ~ A
picturesque view of the gassho village can be
seen from this point.
Wada Family Residence ~ Built in the mid to
late Edo Period, this well-preserved house is
the largest remaining Gassho style house in
Shirakawa-go and is now open to the public as
a museum.
Myozen-ji ~ known for its thatched roof gate
“Shoro-mon”. Impressive transom carvings are
located inside the building is a beautiful yew
tree that is designated as a one of Gifu
Prefecture’s natural monuments.

Deai Bridge ~ A special design bridge which
connects between Shirakawago gassho
villages. Gassho village can be overviewed
through Deai Bridge.
Omicho Market ~ Kanazawa's largest fresh
food market since the Edo Period. Many
excellent local seafood products can be found
here.
Kenrokuen ~ is justifiably classified as one of
Japan's "three most beautiful landscape
gardens". Kenrokuen literally means "Garden
of the Six Sublimities", referring to
spaciousness, seclusion, artificiality, antiquity,
abundant water and broad views, which
according to Chinese landscape theory are the
six essential attributes that make up a perfect
garden.
Kanazawa Castle ~ is a large, well-restored
castle in Kanazawa. Though it was burnt
down few times, the castle's Ishikawa-mon
Gate is still survived.




GERO ONSEN ~ GASSHO VILLAGE ~

Village of Shirakawa-go
It is one of Japan’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This village is well known for their houses
constructed in the architectural style known as
gassho-zukuri. The Gassho-zukuri, "prayer-hands
construction" style is characterized by a thatched
and steeply slanting roof resembling two hands
joined in prayer.





KANAZAWA ~ TOYAMA ~
GOKAYAMA ~ HIDA TAKAYAMA

Gokayama means five valleys, another
Unesco World Heritage Sites in Japan. The
houses here are unique which are built in the
style called “Gassho-zukuri” and have three or
four floors. The steep roofs are at 60 degrees
to prevent snow building up on them, and no
nails are used in the construction of these
houses.
Hida Takayama is a city in the mountainous
Hida region of Gifu Prefecture. Takayama
retains a traditional touch like few other
Japanese cities, especially in its beautifully
preserved old town. The Takayama Festival,
held in spring and autumn, is considered one
of Japan's best festivals.
Hida Takayama Funasaka Sake Brewery ~
Sake is brewed with fine spring and good
quality rice special for sake brewing in a cold
climate. Please enjoy the real taste of sake

Takayama Jinya ~ A beautiful traditional
Japanese style building, used to serve as
Takayama's government office during Edo
period. It is designated as a national historic
site and is the only existing building of its kind
in japan.

Takayama Festival Float Exhibition Hall ~
The Takayama Festival, held in spring (April
14 and 15) and autumn (October 9 and 10), is
ranked as one of Japan's three most beautiful
festivals. The hall exhibits few elaborately
decorated floats which are several hundred
years’ old and beautiful examples of
Takayama's legendary craftsmanship.
