Kidpreneur
Mrs V.
Thank you to all students, staff and
parents for making Mrs V’s
returned to work so special. We
are all so pleased and thankful that
Mrs V. has been
able to return to
us in term four.
Our three Kidpreneur businesses
OCCA (Olivia, Cody, Carl & Amber),
YASS’s BPK (Riley, Chelsea, Chas
and James) and NHD Creations
(Nicholas, Heather & Darcy) are in
the last stages of SET (be
informed). The four questions
students need to think
about when getting SET
to launch a business
are:
1. Who will want to
buy my products?
2. What is my product design?
3. How will I make lots of
products?
4. How much should I charge for
my products?
Students are in the midst working
through their production line steps
for each product to ensure they are
able to mass produce their product
and have quality control over the
final pieces. To finish the SET
Stage, students will work out how
much money they should charge for
their products by using the revenue
calculator.
We have our Kidpreneur street stall
day in Boonah confirmed – Tuesday
28th October outside IGA and ST
Vincent’s Stores. Students will be
selling all their products at the
stalls from 9:15 am to 11:15 am.

Currimundi Active
Recreation Centre
Maroon, Warrill
View, Mutdapilly and Roadvale State
Schools are combining this year for
a camp at Currimundi Active
Recreation Centre on the Sunshine
Coast. Currimundi camp will be in
the sixth week of term four –
Wednesday 12th, Thursday 13th
and Friday 14th November. The
camp is for years 4 to 7.
The camp program is attached to
the newsletter. We are waiting on
the ‘what to bring list’ from
Currimundi. It will be sent home as
soon as we receive the list.
The cost of camp is $156.95 per
student. Maroon State School and
Maroon P&C will cover the total cost
per child for the Currimundi Camp
experience. Thank you to P&C for
their financial support for this
camp.
Students will be
transported to and from
Currimundi by Fassifern
Bus Company. The 4 schools are
paying for the total cost of the bus
travel.
A BIG thank you to parents for
sending back confirmation numbers
for students and parents.
The adults attending must have a
current working with children’s blue
card. Please bring a copy or photo
copy one at school so it is on our
files.
This year I am asking for parents to
contribute $60 towards the camp
and Maroon SS will pay the rest of
the balance of $166.25 per adult.
Pupil Free Day
On Monday 20th October we have a
Pupil Free Day. Maroon staff will
be attending CPR and Aus Identities
workshops.
Religious Instruction
Next week only RI will be on
Thursday morning instead of the
Friday as we have a travelling RI
puppet show Quiz Worx visiting
Maroon SS and surrounding schools.
Quiz Worx shares the RI content
and messages with primary aged
students in creative, fun and
engaging ways. They perform live
shows with
puppetry,
music, art &
drama at
schools, churches, outreach events
and kids clubs all over Australia.
The show will start at 8:45 am and
conclude at 9:30 am. All younger
siblings and parents are welcome to
join in. A flyer is attached with
more details about Quiz Worx.
Free Dress

Next Friday
we are holding
a Sporting

Maroon SS to help raise money for
Nicholas Hoffman. Nic is a local
boy and has been diagonsed with
cancer. All our Fassifern State

the cost. A flyer is attached with
more details. Please help us support
this cause by donating. Thank you
in advance!
Book Club
Book Club is attached to
the newsletter. If you
would like to order book
club, please do so by
returning forms and money by
Monday 27th October.
Head Lice
Please continue to monitor your
child/children’s heads weekly for
any head lice or egg detection. If
you find any signs of head lice or
eggs, please alert the school ASAP
so we can put out a HEAD LICE
ALERT.
Parents please continue to be aware
of your children sharing hats, head
pieces when participating in outside
school sports or activities. We
want to keep Maroon State School
Head Lice free
May life’s little worries always
stay small. May you get a little
closer every day to any goals
you want to achieve.
