Professor Nicco Mele, Harvard Kennedy School, and co-founder of Echo & Co.
Author of “The End of Big: How the Internet Makes David the New Goliath”, Professor Mele will
explore the consequences of living in a socially-connected society, drawing upon his years of experience as an innovator in politics and technology.

Terence H. Sims, MS, CPA, CFE, CGMA, Chief Financial Officer, Louisiana Supreme Court
Mr. Sims will discuss and explain the new electronic reimbursement system, scheduled to launch
January 1, 2015. This is an important presentation for judges and administrators alike.

8:45 am - Red Mass Walking Procession of Judges at the Louisiana Supreme
Court
Join your fellow judges in a walking procession from the Supreme Court to the Red Mass at St. Louis Cathedral. Robe and assemble at the courthouse for this ceremonial walk symbolically marking the official opening of
Louisiana courts. Buses will shuttle from hotel to Court and Cathedral.
9:30 am - Red Mass at St. Louis Cathedral
The annual celebration of the Red Mass has been a Louisiana tradition since October 1953. Come together
with justices and judges of all faiths to pray for help as administrators of justice.
11:45 am - Memorial Exercises ~ Louisiana Supreme Court Building
An opportunity to pay thoughtful respect to members of the bar and bench who have passed away during
the past year.
