DHS CBP Business Analyst:
Favor TechConsulting is in search of a talented/high energy Business Analyst looking to take
on new challenges in the Federal space located in Alexandria, VA. The Analyst will be
responsible for eliciting, gathering, and documenting high-level and detailed functional
requirements for a major manufacturing company initiative.
We are looking for someone with 4-5 years of Business Analyst experience. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills are a must. Must be strong at gathering and documenting
functional requirements and have a solid foundation of best practices around this discipline.
The Business Analyst must have an understanding of how to document Vision Documents, Use
Cases, and any other artifacts required to develop software. Must have client-facing experience
eliciting requirements and have an understanding of the various software development
methodologies; including RUP, Agile, and Waterfall. Must know Visio, PowerPoint and Word.
Business Process Management BPM background is a plus, but not required. Exposure to
visualization software is a highly desired requirement. Will be operating as part of a Scrum
team so knowledge of scrum is also highly desired.
Required Minimum Qualification:
* Minimum of 4 years of Business Analyst experience
* Must be a US Citizen
Desired Qualifications:
* Must have some experience facilitating JAD sessions
* Some software modeling or visualization application (e.g. iRise, Axure) experience is a plus
* MS Office Suite
* JIRA
* Rational RequisitePro
* Technical Writing
* Unified Modeling Language (UML) a plus
* Use Case Development
* Wireframes
Education Level:
4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing Communications, Information Systems,
Computer Science or equivalent area
