For Immediate Release RIGGS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER ENHANCES ACCESS TO CARE WITH DONATIONS FROM HENRY SCHEIN CARES Enables Over 12,000 to Receive Care in 2014 Lafayette, IN – July 17, 2014: Riggs Community Health Center, a non-profit organization that serves to improve access to quality, cost effective, comprehensive health care with respect and compassion to the underserved people of Tippecanoe County, is excited to have received contributions under a grant from the Henry Schein Cares Global Product Donation Program. Through this program, Henry Schein, Inc., the world’s largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health, and medical practitioners, will provide several health care product donations valued at $5,000–$25,000 each over the course of two years to Riggs Community Health Center. The grant will enable Riggs Community Health Center to more effectively carry out its mission and expand its ability to provide care to its more than 12,000 patients annually. With the help of Henry Schein Cares, access to health care for underserved and at-risk populations around the world in the areas of wellness and prevention, emergency preparedness and relief, and capacity building is possible. “In the past year, Riggs CHC has received valuable clinical supplies through this program, in addition to specialized medical and dental equipment,” stated Peter Nalin, M.D., Interim President & CEO, Riggs Community Health Center. “Riggs CHC is grateful for this grant which has benefited so many of our patients.
