NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION AND COMING INTO OPERATION OF PUBLIC PATH
DIVERSION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 119
BERSHAM PUBLIC FOOTPATH 6 IN THE COMMUNTY OF OFFA
On 17/9/14 the Wrexham County Borough Council confirmed and certified the above-named
Order made under S119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed and certified is to divert the public footpath described in
Part 1 of the Schedule to this Notice to a line described in Part 2 of the Schedule as shown on
the Order map.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free
of charge at the Housing Department, Wrexham County Borough Council, Ruthin Road,
Wrexham and Guildhall, Wrexham from 9 am to 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the
Order and map may be obtained free of charge from the Guildhall, Wrexham.
The Order will come into operation on 17/9/14, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants
to question its validity or that of any provision contained in the Order, on the ground that it is
not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any
requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been
complied with in relation to the Order, pursuant to paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as
applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, he or she may make application to the High
Court within six weeks from 18/9/14.

PART 1
DESCRIPTION OF SITE OF EXISTING PATH OR WAY
The full width of that part of Bersham public footpath 6 in the Community of Offa shown by a
bold continuous line commencing point A (SJ 3134 5045) and then generally east for
approximately 250 metres to point B (SJ 3159 5048) and then generally south east for
approximately 380 metres to meet Croesnewydd Road at point C (SJ 3187 5022).
PART 2
DESCRIPTION OF SITE OF NEW PATH OR WAY
A footpath shown by a bold broken line commencing from point A (SJ 3134 5045) on the Order
map and continuing generally south east for approximately 475 metres to Pendinas at point D
(SJ 3173 5019) and then continuing generally south east for approximately 75 metres to meet
Croesnewydd Road at point E (SJ 3179 5015).
Width:
2.0 metres between point A (SJ 3134 5045) and point D (SJ 3173 5019) on the
Order Map.
1.8 metres between point D (SJ 3173 5019) and point E (SJ 3179 5015) on the
Order Map.
A copy of the Order map mentioned above is attached to this Notice.
