Syllabus
Hands on experience on following aspects of practicals:
 Isolation, purification and analysis of nucleic acids
 Transformation, Electro-transformation and conjugation in bacteria
 PCR techniques such as routine, inverse-PCR, real-time PCR and its applications
 Studies on Microbial diversity employing advanced methods
 Blotting techniques, and zymography
 RNA seq (transcriptomics) and its application in Microbiology
 Nanoparticle synthesis, bio-conjugation and biosensor development for highthrough
put detection.
 Construction of cell reporter for mode-of action of antibiotics.
 Practicals (hands on experience) on routine as well as advanced molecular
Microbiology and theory of Molecular Biology, Omics sciences and bioinformatics,
nano-technology, rDNA technology and bio-safety etc will be dealt in the training
programme.
