The weather for this years event was fine and sunny, with a moderate breeze on the exposed
parts of the course. Times were generally faster compared to last year, with many riders
improving by two or three minutes.
Victory went to Lee Baldwin with an impressive 49minutes and 3seconds, with Andrew Newby
who made the trip over from Derbyshire, finishing second with an excellent 50 minutes and 44
seconds. First lady was Joanne Blakeley with 55minutes and 37seconds, followed by Vanessa
Whitfield, repeating her second place finish of last year, with 57minutes and 30seconds. Riders
from the promoting Oldham Century Road Club were Stuart Green ( seventh )in 53minutes
and 42seconds and Ian Kenworthy ( twenty second ) in 57mins and 56seconds. The team
award ( 3 riders ) went to Team Wheelguru, with an aggregate time of 2hrs.42mins.40secs.
Congratulations to all prize winners, and thanks to all those taking part.
