Presented at the annual Martin Luther King Day State of the State on discrimination at the State
House.
Developed, managed and funded annual budget.
Served as Governor’s representative to all local, state, and federal conferences addressing

Designed and implemented a statewide, anti-discrimination and prevention trainer certification
program (nationally recognized and still widely used after 7 years).

Oversaw drafting, editing and promulgation of regulations governing Assisted Living in the
Commonwealth.
Provided legal support to service provider programs servicing 1.6 million elderly citizens in the
areas of home care, elder abuse and ombudsman services to all the state’s nursing homes.
Drafted agency regulations.
Along with Attorney General’s office, provided education, outreach and training to the public, as
well as state and local police on issues such as health care proxy, “Do Not Resuscitate Orders”,
elder abuse, and age discrimination.
Authored Grandparents’ Rights Handbook.
