Act 1998 and is maintained solely for the purposes of
administering the Society. Members’ personal data will
not be disclosed to third parties without their explicit
consent. Personal data of lapsed members is deleted
after 3 years.

The Teachers’ Register will not be disclosed in its
entirety and will not be sold to third parties. Members
may leave the Teachers’ Register upon request.

About the BDRS
The British Double Reed Society, founded in
1988, has an international membership of
over a thousand, which includes students,
teachers and players both amateur and
professional. It is affiliated to Double Reed
Societies worldwide. Everyone with an
interest in double reed instruments should
join!
The Society encourages interest in all double
reed instruments and provides a forum for
members to share information, ideas and
expertise. At its Convention there are
opportunities to hear and meet some of the
world’s leading players.

of players, advice and tips for students,

Specialist advice is available through
members of the BDRS committee, including
education matters. The Society maintains a
teachers’ register. The Society numbers
leading performers, teachers and academics
among its members.
Discounts
Members enjoy discounts on accessories
and music from well-known suppliers and on
instrument insurance. In addition they may
attend the Society’s Convention and other
events at a concessionary rate. This also
