 What is the Reaxys PhD Prize?
The Prize is awarded for original and innovative
research in inorganic, organic, and organometallic
chemistry demonstrating excellence in methodology
and approach
 The review process is managed by 6 internationally
renowned coordinators:
 Prof A. G. M. Barrett (Imperial College)
 Prof Dr M. Jansen (Max-Planck Institute)
 Prof E. Nakamura (University of Tokyo)
 Prof G. M. Parkin (Columbia University)
 Prof B. M. Trost (Stanford University)
 Prof H. N. C. Wong (The Chinese University of Hong
Kong)
 Each year 45 Finalists are selected, from whom 3
Winners are eventually picked


 2014 Reaxys PhD Prize – Key data
We received 537 submissions
 37% from Asia, 35% from Europe, 20% from the
Americas, and 8% from the Middle East and Africa
 360 different universities
 40+ countries
 Japan was the 5th biggest country with over 30
submissions
 Kyoto was the largest single university with 9
submissions

