Training Objectives
(1) Strengthen stakeholder dialogue on on-grid biomass, waste-to-energy, and
biogas applications in Vietnam.
(2) Initiate exchange of know-how and experience with regional and international
energy experts
(3) Develop technical capacities of national experts in the fields of plant design,
business development for on-grid biomass and waste-to-energy applications
in Vietnam.
(4) Develop capacities to make financial appraisals of grid-connected bio-energy
projects
Achievement of these objectives requires an interactive and dialogue-oriented
setting designed as a Summer School and will be conducted by experienced
international and national experts and trainers.
The main target group for this training are project developers as well as other private
sector stakeholders such as consultancies, investors and also banks. Further
participants include the public sector with policy makers on national level as well as
provincial authorities such as DOITs, the education sector consisting of mainly
universities, as well as private sector associations.
