The Albion Hurricanes FC Difference
The Albion Hurricanes FC (AHFC), established in 1989, is leading the way in South Texas by inspiring and
developing young men and women through world class coaching and innovative techniques. In addition to quality on
field coaching, AHFC also strives instill the proper framework, self-esteem, confidence, and sportsmanship within our
athletes. AHFC has multiple campus locations throughout Central, West Houston/Katy (2), Cy Fair, and the Inner
Loop. AHFC offers opportunities for all levels of play – Elite Clubs National League, Premier League, State Classic
League, Division 1, Super 2, Division 2, Academy, and Recreational teams. Player placement will be determined by
our Professional Staff Coaches.

Our knowledgeable Staff Coaches hold USSF National Licenses, Youth Licenses, and/or NSCAA Licenses as well as

Programs
- AHFC offers two different programs within Cy-Fair.

CFSA Junior Hurricanes Soccer League (CFSA JHSL)

- Age Range: 4 – 10 years old
- The is an in-house recreational league that plays other CFSA JHSL teams.
- Local recreational soccer program instructed by professionals.
- CFSA JHSL will practice sessions on Tuesday and games on Sunday throughout the season.
- The program is a 10 week season with 2 evaluation sessions to assess the player's ability before team
formation.
- Registration includes Nike game shirt, shorts, and socks.
- New Nike uniforms for both Fall and Spring seasons.

Age Range 7-11
Players play competitive soccer.
Players at this level want more professional coaching and more of a competitive challenge.
Players will play against different teams from different areas of Houston.
There are various levels of play.
AHFC will also accept existing teams from other leagues.
PDF – Player Developmental Friendlies (U9 and U10 teams)
EDQ – Eastern District Qualifying (U11 and U12 teams)

More Information about the AHFC competitive program
Team Management
AHFC Staff Coach – the Staff Coach is the team coach which entails conducting practices, determining
player’s positions, game line up and playing time. Staff Coaches will coach all games with few exceptions.
Team Managers – parent volunteers are primarily responsible for organizing team uniforms and tournament
registration.
Team Financial Manager – a parent volunteer primarily responsible for team finances.
Team Formation
Teams are built based on technical, tactical and physical ability. Players are placed individually on teams to ensure
their best opportunity for development and success. Within AHFC PDF teams, player movement can occur
throughout the season, which provides a more conducive player development environment. Players will be emailed
team offers no later than Friday May 16th (U11/U12), and Friday, May 23rd (U9/U10).
U9, teams play 7v7 games with a typical roster size of 8-12 players.
U10, teams play 8v8 games with a typical roster size of 9-12, but a maximum of 14.
U11, teams play 8v8 games with a typical roster size of 9-12, but a maximum of 14.
U12, teams play 8v8 games with a typical roster size of 9-12, but a maximum of 14.
Uniform Sizing and Q&A
On Saturday, May 17th (U11/U12), and Saturday, May 31st (U9/U10) at the AHFC Central Fields (3911 Campbell
Road, Houston, TX 77255) from 9 am to 2 pm, there will be a staff member on hand to help any questions you may
have. This is an optional event, but it is offered for those that would like to take advantage of it. Additionally, there
will be an opportunity for all players to try on uniforms for sizing purposes.
Registration and Accepting Position on a Team
Registration can be done online at the AHFC website.
The registration fee is to secure your team placement.
Birth certificates are required for new players only.
Once placed on a team and practice begins, please bring the STYSA medical release form completed and
hand to your team manager. This form is available on the AHFC website.
You will have the opportunity to pay your club fees online also. Club fees cover the player registration with
proper associations - Spring Cup, or gaming league expenses, and spring Coaching fees.
Practices
Two days a week: Technical and Tactical training.
EDQ Teams include one (1) extra Dual Age Group Session.
Most likely, practices will be from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM or 6:30 – 8:00 PM
First Practices will begin early August.
Tournaments
All teams should plan on participating in1 or 2 tournaments. These can be in the Houston or an out of town
tournament which is usually in San Antonio or Austin. The team is responsible for Tournament fees and staff related
expenses, if any.

Developmental Soccer
The PDF has three brackets of play:
Gold
Silver
Bronze
U9 &
U10 Season (PDF)
Teams are placed into brackets with PDF league play. League selection is determined by the AHFC Staff.
Teams will play a round of games against all the other teams in their brackets.
For the PDF league, no standings or rankings are kept and all games are played in four (4) locations within
Houston on Sunday afternoon.
U11 & U12 Soccer (EDQ)
Teams are placed into brackets
Teams will play a round of games against all of the teams in their bracket
The AHFC Professional Staff Coach will determine which bracket each team will enter
