Dear Valued Customer of Eastern Aluminum of Virginia,
Effective April 1, 2014, the assets of Eastern Aluminum Supply of Virginia, Inc. (EAV) and Lowes
Aluminum of Virginia, have been assumed by Richards Building Supply Co (Richards). Going forward,
we will be operating as Eastern Aluminum Supply of Virginia, a Richards Company.
For the past 15 years, EAV and Richards have enjoyed a strong working relationship through their
membership in the same buying cooperative, SIDA. When the owners of EAV made the decision to sell,
the mutual goal of Richards and EAV was to minimize the impact on customers and employees. We are
working to make that a reality. Richards and EAV have always shared common values with a specific
emphasis on building a strong relationship with both customers and employees.
The EAV employees you have come to know and trust remain with Richards. Gene Pallotta will continue
to run the day to day operations of the branches. All branch managers, sales staff, drivers and warehouse
employees also remain on board with Richards.
We remain committed to the same product lines you have become accustomed to buying. Certainteed
roofing and siding products will continue to be featured at our branches, but we also look forward to
announcing new products and affiliations in the coming months.
After the acquisition of the seven EAV locations, Richards will have 53 operating branches with a
Richards footprint ranging from Connecticut to Oklahoma. More can be learned about Richards by

provide you with the best customer experience in the arena of roofing and siding distribution. As 2014
