Emergency Response Planning (ERP) Course Description Course Overview The goal of this course is to provide an understanding of the planning and preparation of emergency response plans. Participants would bring their existing plans for review and to determine any gaps as they move through the course. Participants will collaborate in small groups to analyze scenarios using incident videos and case studies. Audience The Emergency Response Planning course is designed for operations, safety and maintenance managers; operations, technical, and maintenance engineers; ERP element leaders and team members; and site process safety management (PSM) leaders and team members. This starts with writing new or upgrading existing ERP procedures. To build competency at the individual level, the participant should identify a coach, apply the updated procedure to select departments, and get assessed on the competency requirements for applying ERP. It is recommended that participants go through an elearning refresher course once a year and instructor-led refresher training once every three years.
