Agnieszka is a graduate in Political Science from University of Vienna and in German Philology from the Jan
Dlugosz University in Czestochowa. She also completed work-based programmes at the European Academy
of Diplomacy in Warsaw and the Centre international de formation européenne in Vienna. Since October
2013, she has been continuing her education in the field of cooperation and development at the Swiss
Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Her professional experience focuses on project design and
management, public relations, as well as coordination of internal and external communication activities.
Since January 2010, she has been committed to the Association Centre for Intercultural Initiatives. In the
first year, she co-organised the "Beyond the Horizon" meetings. Between 2011 and 2013, she was an author
and manager of the "Dialog Miedzykulturowy" quarterly addressing world cultures, global development,
international migration, and human rights issues. In 2014, she created the "REFUGEE IS NOT MY NAME"
campaign to raise awareness of the plight of millions of forcibly displaced people across the globe.
Her research interests include development and perspectives of political, social, economic
and cultural rights of refugees and other forcibly displaced communities worldwide,
discussed in an interdisciplinary approach.
I created the "REFUGEE IS NOT MY NAME" awareness campaign because I am convinced that
even a little contribution to the cause of forcibly displaced people can positively affect their real
life perspectives, influence the policy making process at the institutional level, build a culture of crossborder solidarity, and move towards a sustainable peace for all, says Agnieszka
