Our clients understand this contractual relationship and expect you to respect the relationship between both organizations. Commissionaire Gerry Ratchford (DND - Dockyard) is presented the Formation Chiefs Coin by CPO1 P. Helston, Formation Chief. Gerry is an outstanding Commissionaire with unyielding and ever present optimism at FMF CAPE BRETON. He is personally committed to improving security in FMF CAPE BRETON and has made the implementation of the new security measures a personal project. Gerry’s dedication to his fellow workers, both civilian and military, is greatly appreciated by all and his enthusiasm is an example for everyone to follow.” Cmre’s Scott Baxter (A-List ) (Top) and Cmre Donald Reidie (A-List) (Btm) were presented with St. John Ambulance Life Saving Awards by the Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. The presentation was held at Government House 20th of May, 2014. Both Cmre Baxter and Reidie received the award for their Life Saving attempts in rendering first aid to a patron staying at the Chateau Victoria on the 12th of May, 2014 who reportedly collapsed in his room. COMMISSIONAIRES & FRIENDS GOLF SOCIAL Interest is being sought in holding a Commissionaires and Friends Golf Social. Jim served with the Infantry from 1974 - 1982 with tours of duty in Cyprus and the Golan Heights.. The intent is to hold a Nine & Dine (Nine holes of golf and a burger buffet) at Cedar Hill Golf Course sometime in September 2014. Through his hard work and dedication in gaining recognition for Canada’s Peacekeepers, he was appointed the National President of the Canadian Peacekeeping Veterans Association. He joined the Division in October 1989 and was employed at various detachments throughout his tenure. Over the years, Jim received various accolades for his professional actions and performance of his duties ranging from Bravo Zulu Awards, to various Commandants Commendations. On behalf of the Board of Governors’, all RCMP Det Guards and Commissionaires, we wish Jim a happy and well deserved retirement. Cmre Gordon Burleson (CFAD Rocky Point) was presented with his 100 donation award at the Canadian Blood Services annual “Honouring our Lifeblood” event held 14th of April, 2014 at CFB Esquimalt.
