Editorial
The Swatch Free4Style gathers during three days four distinctly different but complementary disciplines: FMX, Jet
Skiing, Wakeboarding and a variety of music. This 22nd
edition will be jam packed with breath taking shows and
performances.
Located at the Neuchatel lakeside and on the banks
of Estavayer-le-lac, this event has gained a referential
reputation in the freestyle sports and the clubbing scene
in the French speaking part of Switzerland and its fame
continues to expand beyond the borders of our country.
Thrilling emotions, extreme sports, clubbing and a bunch
of other surprises will be waiting for you from the 4th to
the 6th of July 2014 at Nova Friburgo square for the 22nd
edition of this “Legendary” event.

THE UNAVOIDABLE FREESTYLE MEETING
POINT FROM THE 4TH TO THE 6TH OF JULY
2014 AT ESTAVAYER-LE-LAC
For the 22nd Swatch Free4style edition the town of Estavayer-le-Lac is preparing to welcome a promising
amount of internationally recognized athletes and Dj’s.
This year’s event will allow you to discover the Freestyle
sports in the wonderful environment of Place Nova
Friburgo on the banks of Lake Neuchatel.
An immeasurable amount of Style!
About a hundred daring athletes from all around the
globe, some even with world champion titles, will be
ready to compete in their field of expertise being it FMX
(freestyle motocross), Jet Skiing, Wakeboarding and Jet
Surfing. Mat Rebeaud, local FMX hero and FMX Swatch
Free4style 2013 competition winner, will be once again
fighting for his title. After having seen his jaw dropping
aerial skills from the previous edition, we can surely expect
an amazing show. The New Zealander Levi Sherwood, the
current leader of Red Bull X Fighters, will also be taking
part accompanied by his comrades and stars of the sport.
In the water is where you’ll find the Jet Ski competition
riders, distinguished pilots battling on different types of
courses including the exclusive Swatch Free4style « Oval
Race » which is being held at this event for the second year
in a row. In this particular course the riders will compete
in a closed loop, assuring electrifying pursuit races to the
audience
Wakeboarding and Flyboarding will play an equally important part in the show with freestyle demonstrations
performed by professional wakeboarders who have been
invited especially for this occasion such as Stéphane
Prayas, the world champions of Flyboard.

A completely new and unseen discipline in Switzerland
The big novelty of this 22nd edition will be Jet surfing,
which for the first time will take place in Swiss waters exclusively for the Swatch Free4Style. After the Flyboard, Jet
Surfing is a new mechanical and aquatic sport which is a
combination of jet skiing and surfing, allowing the rider to
reach speeds of up to 60 km/h. The Swatch Free4Style will
have the honor of hosting Jet Surfing championship race
as explained by Hubert Monod, president of the event:
“I’m looking forward to see all the stars from all the different disciplines of the Swatch Free4Style event and especially curious to see the Jet Surfing, discipline that is being
hosted and that is a part of the world series Jet Surf race.
We’ve never had a line-up that was this impressive. I can
only hope that good weather and the public won’t miss
this 22nd edition of pure sickness”.
Let’s also dance! Estavayer-le-Lac will vibrate to the
rhythm of electronic music
After the effort comes comfort: Official Swatch Free4Style
evenings will be held Friday and Saturday from 23:00. On
both evenings, the atmosphere will be provided by a
selection of the best Swiss DJs and internationally
recognized DJs especially for Friday night: PENDULUM
DJ SET & VERSE (AUS / UK). Madness and House Party
Killers will precede the Australian duo. On Saturday, it will
be up to PARTY BANGERS anthology with the DJ from
Lausanne; Bad Nelson, accompanied by Julian Watson
and Troy Dexter. Lucas Monème will also be present in
the early evening.

The Sports
Swatch Free4Style has recently gained a key position in
the freestyle events of Switzerland.
The show will place great emphasize on FMX,
represented by local star Mat Rebeaud, on Wakeboard
and on Jet Ski.
Athletes from the four corners of the world will share
their talent and passion for this extreme freestyle with
the public
FMX

As every year, the main highlight of the event will be FMX.
The arena will consist of a reception and ramps worthy of
the greatest international FMX show. The “gladiators” will
fly gracefully over the Nova Friburgo square performing
breathtaking tricks.
Two riders of the Swatch Proteam will honor us with their
presence for this great weekend. Mat Rebeaud and the
New Zealander Levi Sherwood are currently leading in the
Red Bull X-Fighters tour. They will be joined by the world’s
best FMX riders.
In addition, a surprise performance in Switzerland featuring a unique motorized vehicle will be announced a few
days before the event. To elect the “king” of the evening,
a jury of Swiss sports stars chaired by Marc Ristori will nominate the winner of this 22nd edition.

Wakeboarding will also be present including freestyle demonstrations performed by international team
wakeboarders as well as distinguished guests. These
wakeboarders will delight the audience with various shows
throughout the weekend.

Jetski
We are pleased to announce you the big new of the
22nd edition of the Swatch Free4Style the partnership of
both FREEGUN and Jetcross tour coming straight from
France. One hundred drivers of all nationalities will start
on the waterfront of the Nova Friburgo square to deliver a sensational show. The riders will have to endure
different types of challenges and track formats including the
“Oval Race”: a Free4Style Swatch exclusivity that is being
held here for the second consecutive year. This race features two drivers who engage in a full throttle battle around
a closed loop!
Blood bubbling races and freestyle demonstrations,
are a sure combination to make this 2014 edition an
unforgettable one.

Flyboard
Flyboard is a mix of the hottest extreme sports (Jetski, ski,
snow, acrobatic diving, ...) based on a clever system that
propel both in the air and underwater. This awesome sport
will be present at the Swatch demos Free4Style 2014. For
this 22nd edition we are pleased to welcome Stéphane
Prayas (world champion in the discipline) that is sure to set
up a show by launching impressive figures more than 10
meters above the water level!

Pendulum Dj Set & Verse
The Australians from the group Pendulum are true
drum’n’bass pioneers. The group helped spread the popularity of the genre around the world with hits and remixes
(including Prodigy) and impressive tours, like the first part
for Linkin Park. Today, even though the live band is having
a break, different members of Pendulum will continue to dj
set around the world to keep it alive. Rob Swire and Gareth
McGrillen under the name Knife Party will be blasting vibes
on the electro and dubstep side and El Hornet and Mc
Verse will represent for the typical drum’n’bass style under

Bad Nelson
Living in Lausanne, the “capital of clubbing in Switzerland”, Bad Nelson is a talented DJ that has added a new
flavor to the Swiss electronic music scene. Founder of
the “Party Bangers” this dance music producer has managed to carry this label to the highest level by organizing
crazy parties. Parties that attracted and conquered huge
crowds from the whole of Switzerland! This incredible
group will rock the Nova Friburgo square on Saturday,
July 5th from 23h!

Party Bangers
“ Les casseurs de soirées” that is how we call them in
French! Established in late 2009, PARTY BANGERS has
become one of the biggest clubbing events in Switzerland. They will guarantee you with a more than stunning
evening. Having made their way up starting from Lausanne’s D! Club, The Party Bangers also have their own
radio show once a week on the waves of Red FM, Radio
# 1 in Switzerland. In 2012, Party Bangers was nominated
by the prestigious Academy of Swiss Nightlife Awards
for the best actors in the night world in Switzerland and
came in the Top 3 in the category “Best Event Serie.”
Their slogan “BE A BANGER” will be the motto of their
show on Saturday, July 5th from 23h on the stage of
Swatch Free4Style.

This year there will be novelties at Swatch Free4Style. Two disciplines never exercised in
Switzerland before will appear during the weekend on the shores of Estavayer-le-Lac.
Jetsurf
(World championship heat)
Jet Surfing is a new mechanical and aquatic sport which is
a combination of Jet skiing and surfing, allowing the rider
to reach speed of up to 60km / h. Designed by Martin
Sula, a Czech engineer specialized in Formula 1 (notably,
he created the last turbo for Audi at the 24 Hours of Le
Mans), the pilot stands on the board, feet in straps with a
movable handle for gas.

Mat Rebeaud

Mat is the « local star » of Swatch Free4Style. Child of the
region, this budding athlete rode his first motorcycle at 4
years old. It is therefore logical that it has established itself
as one of the best FMX freestylers in the world. Through
both technical and innovative tricks, such as his Backflips
combos and other underflips, he will be amazing the public of the Free4Style. It certainly provided some surprises
for this 22nd edition. It is in Payerne, the family home,
where Mat refines and trades new tricks. He is definitely
the local star of the Swatch Free4Style.

Levi Sherwood

After reaching a phenomenal reputation in his country,
New Zealand, Levi decided to tackle the international FMX
scene. Red Bull X-Fighters represented for him the perfect
opportunity. From that day he never ceased to amaze with
his stunning performances and earned a worldwide reputation and the nickname “Rubber Kid” (the kid rubber).

Josh Sheehan will return to Swatch Free4Style 2014. After
his feat in 2013 with a legendary Double backflip. He is a
native of Donnybrook, Australia. His talent and determination brought him be one of the best freestylers, in 2008 he
earned a victory in the round of AFMX in Brisbane, at the
Super X, where he gave a lesson to other FMX stars. Josh
continues to prove he is one of the best talents to emerge
from the Australian scene, and his addiction to great performance promises an incredible show at the 22nd edition!
Daniel Bodin is the equivalent of a Travis Pastrana on the
snow! At the Nokia Air & Style 2007 in Munich, he literally
breathtaking to a crowd of over 30,000 spectators with its
incredible backflip, which brought him win the coveted
first place. Daniel did not stop there: in April 2008 he set
a new world record snowmobile jump with a 44.8 meters
backflip! This legend will be present this year at the exclusive Swiss Estavayer-le-Lac for this 22nd edition of the
Swatch Free4Style.

« Maddo » is a living legend. He beats twice the world record he had set himself, the Crusty Demons Night of World
Records in Melbourne, Australia with jumps over 100m.
