And I have decided to major in geology with a focus in hydrology. Geology "My interest in PSA streamed primarily from my desire to travel the world and kayak. In high school, I found it difficult to find balance between school and my passion for kayaking. During my time in Chile, it was easy to see how hard work could actually help me achieve my paddling and academic goals." − Alexis Grace Jennings, President Outdoor Pursuits, Wake Forest University is a tough major that will require a lot of field work and study time. I never would have thought that kayaking would help me in school, but I found that the discipline required to boat the technical rivers of Chile transferred to the discipline needed to complete my studies. School is hard work and it’s only going to get harder. I look forward to the challenge. SCHOLARSHIPS I’d like to express my thanks to Andrea, Bob and Elizabeth Forster. Without your offer I don’t know if I would have realized education and kayaking can both work. Student kayakers with a financial need may win one of several scholarships, including one of two $5,000 scholarships generously offered by the Forster family.
