Building on the outcomes of INCONET-GCC, the project consortium is focusing now in 2 main research areas: Diabetes & Smart Cities • Both research areas are highly prioritized in EU and GCC. Project partners are 2 significant players in the GCC: Dasman Diabetes Institute – Kuwait and MASDAR – UAE. • 2 workshops on Diabetes & Smart Cities occurred. 2 Reports (1 for each Area) about the current status of bilateral cooperation & recommended steps to enhance cooperation and overcome hurdles.
