We need new thinking and new competencies in order to make our organizations flourish in today’s society. Professor Diane Nijs recently completed her promotion on designing for emergence, designing to unleash a culture of innovation. She will ‘host’ the evening: introducing the books and the presenting students and finally empower the interactive discussion with the participants at the end of the session. Designing conversations – is about creative processes, meaning making, generative dialogue and critical/creative thinking producing transformation in the context of organizations. In order to design effective interventions, it is important to prepare the space in order to engage participants, generating a sense of responsibility and commitment. For that some methods and tools can be applied in order to work with individuals, groups and organizations as a whole. As a professional of the 21st century it is fundamental to develop a “hybrid tool box”, being able to design a conversation / a creative session, asking powerful questions, taking into account the context and the local needs of the involved. Celiane Camargo-Borges is the host of this evening. Her work focuses on relational forms of practices creating a more effective means of collaboration and decision making. She is interested in exploring how individuals can come together through dialogic relations – cultivating interaction participation and collaboration.
