A.J. Jones & Son have been producing fine quality bread
in Hay-on-Wye for MORE THAN 50 years.
Our bread is made in the traditional manner by craft bakers
using untreated flour and long fermentation.
We still use the original old-style brick and tile ovens.
WE DO:
- Use fine quality flour from family millers
- Use long fermentation processes: only the yeast makes our
bread rise
- Use traditional brick ovens: ours were built in 1934
- Employ highly-trained craft bakers
WE DONT:
- Use flour with chemicals already added
- Add any artificial chemicals to the dough
- Use frozen quick dough or premixes
