Tour of HDB’s Centre of Building Research (CBR) HDB Building Research Institute (BRI) is HDB’s research arm to spearhead R&D efforts in building and environmental sustainability. Its master laboratory, Centre of Building Research (CBR), located in Woodlands, is the incubation hub to develop and test bed initiatives in five key research clusters: Energy, Urban Greenery, Waste & Water, Living Environment and Building Technology. At this Centre, prototypes and test-bedding are carried out to ensure that the new technologies are matured and suitable for larger scale implementation in HDB estates. HDB BRI also fosters close partnerships and collaborates with academies and industry professionals to harness good ideas and co-create sustainable solutions.
