Invitation to HDB PEAK Forum 2014
HDB will be holding its Professional Engagement and Knowledge-sharing (PEAK) Forum on 11
September 2014. The HDB PEAK Forum is a gathering of building professionals and a forum for the sharing of
best industry practices as well as knowledge on developing a highly liveable environment. Designers,
architects, engineers and builders are invited to participate in this event.

The theme for the 2014 HDB PEAK Forum is “Road to Better Homes - Sustainability & Greenery”. The
theme showcases how HDB embraces sustainability and greenery in our research, planning, design and
development in our towns and estates to enhance our living environment. The forum will also explore the
development of SMART Towns, and how greater sustainability can be achieved through SMART
technologies. In this regard, we have invited a few distinguished speakers, including the Chief Architect of the
Barcelona City Council, Spain, Mr Vicente Guallart, to share with us their insights on the topic of SMART
Cities. Our CEO Dr Cheong Koon Hean will also speak on the piloting of SMART initiatives in the next phase of
public housing developments in her Opening Address. Please refer to the details of the event appended

Together with the PEAK Forum, visitors will be able to view an Exhibition on Punggol Northshore,
Bidadari and Tampines North. Models of upcoming projects will illustrate new urban design, sustainability and
greening concepts. We will also share some of the SMART initiatives that HDB will be piloting in Punggol
Northshore. The winners of HDB’s annual Design Awards and Construction Awards will also be exhibited.
