begin our first of three days leisurely biking along beautiful coastal roads in Central
Vietnam. On our way to Tuy Hoa this morning we glimpse picturesque countryside,
fishing villages, fish farms and a salt farm. After a lovely morning cycling through the
countryside we rest for lunch before continuing on by car to the Cen Deluxe Hotel for the evening in Tuy Hoa.

B, L, D. Cycling distance: approx. 40-50 km.
DAY 04 15 MAR (SUN) QUY NHON/QUANG NGAI/HOI AN
Today we cycle on mostly flat, back-roads through several little villages and take in a
range of scenery. We pass the small town of Sa Huynh, a pleasant fishing backwater perched on a broad curve of palm fringed,
golden sand. Speckled with blue fishing boats, this sleepy village is a convenient and relaxing place to rest before moving on to
Quang Ngai for lunch. Today we also visit the site of the My Lai massacre. The My
Lai site is in a small rural settlement, surrounded by simple thatched huts, quilted rice
paddies and farmers with conical hats going about their day to day routines. The
mood set by these surroundings is one of peace and tranquility despite the deep scars
of the past. After visiting the simple memorial and museum we transfer by car to the
Anantara Hoi An Resort, which will be our hotel for the next two nights.
B, L, D. Cycling distance: approx. 40-50km
DAY 05 16 MAR (MON)
HOI AN
We leave our bicycles behind and set off on foot for a half-day walking tour of Hoi An
this morning. Break away from the typical tourist sights and enjoy a morning with the
local fisherman in Hoi An for a unique window into Vietnamese culture. Board a local
fisherman’s boat and learn about their way of life before enjoying a sumptuous home cooked lunch. This afternoon we drive
approx. 1 hour to visit the beautiful, historic town of My Son. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most important Cham
sites in the country. We meet in the evening to enjoy our farewell dinner at the luxurious Nam Hai Hotel.
B, L, D.
DAY 06 17 MAR (TUE) HOI AN/DA NANG/HONG KONG
Da Nang / Hong Kong KA 227 1745 / 2030 (1h 45m)
Today we travel to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam which is rated by many
as the most beautiful city in Vietnam. With its ancient Citadel, mausoleums, pagodas
and palaces Hue is a haven for history buffs located approximately 3 hours from Hoi An
(in the direction of the airport) along the lovely South China Sea coastal road and over
the Hai Van Pass through the clouds. In Hue we will have a guided tour of the Imperial
Citadel and Vietnam’s charming Forbidden Palace. Enjoy lunch at Y Thao Restaurant,
run by the former Imperial family of Hue, before we visit Thien Mu Pagoda which sits
on the banks of the Perfume River. Finally, we explore the royal tomb of Tu Duc
before we are transferred to the airport for our direct flight back to Hong Kong.
