2014 Ballet Examination Information 5 Year old girls - DASA Tiny Tots 1 Dear _________________________ I take pleasure in informing you, that ________________________ will have the opportunity to enrol for her first Dance Academy of South Africa's ballet exam in Oct 2014. The exam is lots of fun and a truly enriching experience for the students. It also gives them something to work towards during the year. We highly recommend it for every student. Please note ballerinas must be at least 4 years old to partake in the DASA exam. What will she need? 1. R300 enrolment fee. 2. Be there on time (13 - 18 Oct 2014)(Lebone 2 College just outside of RTB) 3. Pink Tights 4. Ballet bun What happens during the DASA Tiny Tot 1 (TT1)examination? Dancers will enter the exam room with their teacher in groups of 6. The DASA examiner will then ask them to perform each of the exercises that they have learnt during their classes throughout the year. The examiner will assess their performance, and give them a group report. Each dancer will receive their first DASA broach and certificate. Medal Dance: Your daughter will also have the opportunity to perform her first medal dance "Petit Performer 1" named "Ballerina in a box". For this dance, dancers will enter the exam room in groups of 2 with their teacher. Dancers will each receive an individual report and a Medal. NB: Every student registered with HFB will automatically be enrolled for the exam, if you do not want to partake you need to let me know. 2014 Ballet Examination Information 5 Year old girls - DASA Tiny Tots 1 1. Cost and Payment Information: GRADE: TINY TOTS1 ENTRY FEE: R300 Exam fees must be paid before Friday 18 July 2014 Fees will reflect on your Statement at the end of May. Payments are due by the 18th of July 2014. Payments must be made to Happy Feet Ballet; ABSA; 4077347461; Cheque account; Rustenburg. Remember to give a proper reference "Dancer's Name and Surname and Preschool" PLEASE NOTE, if there are any outstanding amount on your account by the 18th of July we will not be able to enter the dancer for the exam. 2. Exam Date and Location. Location: Lebone2 College just outside of RTB. Date: 13 - 18 October 2014. Time: The time schedule will be available 6 weeks prior to the exam date. Groups are sent in, in 30 minute intervals from 9am - 4:30pm. Students need to arrive one hour before scheduled exam. 3. Ballet Bun Hair neatly out of face and in a bun with hairnet that is the same colour as her hair (NO PINK NETS) Gather the hair and pull it back into a ponytail. Apply La Pebra’s if you need more Twist the ponytail Coil the twisted ponytail into a tight circle. Use hair pins all around the coil to secure it to the rest of the hair. Slide each pin through the outer part of the coil, then into the base of the bun. Wrap a fine hair net around the bun. Keep twisting and wrapping so that the hair net tightly secures the bun. If you do not want your daughter to partake in the DASA exam for TT1: - You must let us before 18 July via SMS 0828238416 or e-mail [email protected] in order for us to remove her from the list. - If we do not hear from you, we will assume that she will partake in the TT1 exam and you will be invoiced accordingly.
